Yeah I've currently got em in a con folder. I was kind of wondering if there was a way to password protect a folder. I don't know what the hell a RAR archive is, but thanks...to google I go.
 
One of my friends signed up for GAF (after some convincing) a few days ago. How long ago was it since a bunch of juniors got approved (wasn't it last year)? Also, how often do they usually approve new juniors? Thanks to anyone who can help. :D

i had to wait like around a year, i signed up in late 07 and got approved in 08.

It's 2am. I just got back from hockey. I have to be up at 6am (4 hours from now) to get ready for school.
QUESTION: Should I bother going to sleep?

Help me decide GAF. I'm a little wired now, but I figure I'll crash in about 1/2 an hour. Fortunately I have an Xbox360 and some energy drinks to keep me awake, if I decide to go that route. I will be at school until 6pm.

The song isn't actually in the Star Trek OST. It was only in the third trailer.

It's Freedom Fighters by Two Steps From Hell. I think they only make trailer music IIRC.

Could someone please tell me how to create youtube links that show up as a description of what you are linking, and the link itself all in one. I mean, instead of just showing the URL. I keep seeing this in threads and want to know how to do it.

What are those emergency-cord looking things in disabled bathrooms? Some part of me likes to imagine it sends out an alarm like "HELP! HELP! I'VE FALLED IN THE SHITTER!" but I realize it's probably just an alternative to flush; but then I don't understand why such an alternative would be necessary.
 
So I was listening to the Rooster Teeth podcast, and one of the guys (the british one) wanted to try to swallow a really long headphone cord, shit out the end you plug in, put it in an ipod and listen to music through the headphones going through your intestines.

Is this actually possible? Or would like the stomach acid and shit in your stomach mess up the cord or whatever.

I'm not gonna actually try this btw

So I'm looking at this page because I need another HDMI cord. I just need a cord to go from my cable box to my TV. What's with all the 22 AWG, 28 AWG, Tin plated, copper plated, 1.3a, ferrite core, in-wall-installation, category 2 balderdash? Simply put, I don't know what the hell I need. All I know is that I need the cord to be around 5ft. I keep getting the feeling that all this techno-babble is more or less unnecessary and confusing.

Help please. :(

If people get sick because of viruses; how is it that we get sick when we're cold? When we blow the fan on our face all night, when we jump into cold, freezing water; when we're out in the snow naked?

That's not true. It's a myth that cold air weakens your immunity, under the false pretense that your immune system has to work harder to keep you warm - but that's not what the immune system is for.

More logically, many viruses thrive in very low humidity environments. I strong fan inside your room can practically eliminate the humidity making some viruses all the more likely to float around. Humidifiers are good for this... though making it too humid is even worse for your health.

I never actually watched the show, but I do remember seeing bits of that episode!

I remembered the kid was played by Rider Strong which led to Time Trax.
 
Simple math question:

We are doing difference quotients, and the answer to the problem(not simplified) was:
4xh+2h^2-h/h

now simplified i got:
4x+2h-1

but my teacher said that isn't right its just:
4x+2h



Is she wrong? Wouldn't the -h/h = -1 and not just disappear?

Depends. If it is meant to be 2-(h/h) or (2-h)/h. Your answer only applies to the 2-(h/h).
 
I'm trying to hook my computer up to my HDTV. It's a 32" Olevia (dead company :lol ) and I'm using a DVI to HDMI to go from my computer graphics card to the TV. The problem that arises is that I can't seem to find a good resolution that fits the screen perfectly. I went through all the ones that were offered (in the display settings) and most cut off some of the screen since they were too large, others looked too low resolution and others looked fine but had the black bars. My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT and my TVs native resolution is 1366x768. Anyways I can get this fixed?
 
Liquor-GAf, I am trying to be cheap when I go out, but I have a sweet tooth. Can anyone recommend a cocktail that is very, very strong but does not taste like gasoline at the same time? So far, I like Mai tais but i want some variety.
