Oh I didn't say I was unhappy with it =P. I was just flummoxed why it was given to me of all people esp. considering I've started three threads, one of which was wildly successful (hardly what I'd call "crappy," and another that was initially misjudged). I'm really a tamer member than most people here. I just have balls and aren't afraid to make my opposition to certain things (esp. in Politics or whatever) heard and debated fairly.

Don't complain about your tag. I think it's pretty cool to be honest since it's funny, but not like in a negative way to me.

Well, thanks! :) I don't mind it either, as I've said, I just don't *get* it. I was curious if it was just because of the Anal Sex thread (which proved semi-popular -- and there had been an Anal Sex thread in the past which was also enormously popular), or because I have a reputation for being a lousy contributor, or what... I was just asking 'cos I had no idea. :lol

I think people misinterpret what 'legal tender' means - every vendor of goods or services has the right to refuse a transaction under reasonable grounds. This may change with government-run agencies, but if I'm not mistaken impounds are privately owned and contracted.

EDIT: Just done a little more research, and it depends on the nature of the transaction. To settle a debt, legal tender must be accepted, but it's not compulsory for occasions where the debt is incurred at time of payment, like buying something from a shop. It depends on whether this is classed as a debt, or a purchase of a service. If it's the settlement of a debt then the clerk has to accept it, however much of a douche move it may be.

In this youtube video, why does he insist on a retake? I get what this is all about (I think), but I just want to know what inane reason there would be for the shot to be taken several times.

The films website that I found after some googling here obviously doesn't mention anything about this trailer.

I hope this is dumb and random enough to qualify for this thread.

As I understand it, it's to provide legal protection to someone who has honestly attempted to repay a debt and been refused. However, at the point of sale of an item, technically that's a debt, and so they build in the clause as an exception to allow people to accept payment how they wish and to refuse custom if they want.

Just looks like a vintage style photo to me, there may be level and hue/saturation adjustments added in post but nothing special. Blowing out the levels a tad and toning down the saturation plus adding a warm colored blurred overlay to wash out the color balance a bit should add that effect to any photo. You could also force some film grain and noise.

Heat is focused in the center with the sides being cooler. You can stir things towards the hot center while keeping the cooked things on toward the edges

Even if I wasn't an out GayGAF member (thus making the intent of that question obvious), I find it hard to believe that particular question above all other questions deserves scolding... for fuck's sake... I was just curious to see how straight religious GAF members viewed anal sex and whether it was immoral for gays but not for straights. Is that really *that* hard to figure out from the thread title? Several members were smart enough to figure it out and weren't jerks about it. Clutching at straws to have a go at somebody, is what I'd call it.

I know how to do that in photoshop. Image -> Adjustments -> Selective colour. Then go nuts, however you want it. To demonstrate I took like 30 seconds to "correct" it. Then changed your avatar. :P

Typically you change the values of the blacks, that's usually where I start when I'm messing around with images. You can do it multiple times or add colour balances after or whatever.

Time for my stupid question: How unethical would it be for me to post a picture of my friend in the Hot Women thread?

I've got a question... When I take a shower, I use my pinky fingers to clean out my ears. I also like to keep my nails long, so I get a fair bit of wax out (while probably pushing more further in, but I know it's not good for me, this isn't about that). When I get a good bit into my ear, I get red wax. It's a crimson and usually in a good-sized clump of it.

What is it? Blood? I am fairly certain I am not scratching or cutting my ears when I clean them. What's up?

Alright, I got another question guys...for the three months to go from Junior to Member, does it start from your join date or the date you got approved?

Also, is there anything special you have to do or does it just take a bit of time for the switch to happen? I am pretty sure I have hit three months since being approved and def three months since my join date. And I just got my 200th post. Sorry if it seems like I am being impatient, I just didn't know if the change-over was immediate.

EDIT: Also, I am leaving for the Philippines next week and was really wanting to create one of those "Hey, I'm going on vacation, guys!" threads where I could ask for people's experiences and some hot spots to hit up, that kind of of thing. There are two threads like that but they are from back in '06 it looks like. I shouldn't bump those instead of creating a thread?

Look at where you want to go...dy/dx stays the same, so you don't need to integrate or anything. Just do algebra.

If you factor out -6exp(-6x-54), you'll get the answer.

Yup I noticed that song was not in the OST when I got it. you can get the song from Arcade Fires - "Funeral" (10 bucks on itunes), unless they remixed it for the flim.
