In shows like power rangers and Gatchaman(Science Ninja Team) what happens to peoples civilian clothes when they transform into their power forms?

I mean if it stays on while they have their power suits they must be burning up

I have a question about that intro, too:

Why does Dexter shave, but when he gets his clothes on you see he has stubble again.

How come he cuts himself shaving in the exact same spot every morning? Wouldn't you be more careful after a while? Or is it cuz the skin scars up and makes it easier to get cut?

Is Italy one of those cultures where if a host offers you food, you're supposed to decline first and then the host keeps insisting until you accept?

A lot of people do that here in Hawaii, cuz it's often considered rude to not offer someone food, but a lot of times the person is only offering so not to be rude. So you say no and then wait to be offered again if they really want to share.

But no still means no for sex.

Those suits don't just look good, they obviously contain sophisticated cooling equipment.

Is there any way to get the song you're listening to to display on aim 7.1?
I'm sure there is a plug in for it somewhere. All you have to do is look for one. I'd help you out, but I don't use AIM. There's a plug in for Yahoo! that displays what you're listening to called Y!Amp. I am sure there has to be one for AIM too.

What does the acronym "AFAIK" stand for? I thought it was and for all I know, but I've seen it used a lot where it's placed in a sentence where that wouldn't make sense...

I've got a question, how come there is a Sales Archive on GAF, but while I can see the "last thread posted in" that is listed and view that thread, when I click on the Sales Archive link, there are no threads. Can only mods view the sales archive?

If I'm 35 years old and have seen every episode of "icarly" because I'm obsessed with Miranda Cosgrove, does that mean theres something wrong with me?

^ Um, wow.

I wouldn't necessarily say that there's something wrong with you, but that is kind of weird. I guess obsessions goes long ways!

How come NeoGAF's home page:

2lnd0xu.jpg

Never gets an update? The last post there dated back in 2007... surely there's a lot of interesting information or anything that can be posted there?

Or is it simply because no one cares?

Probably not, that requires some time and effort and that show was not that popular in Japan, it was more succesful worldwide as far as i'm aware.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Cowboy Bebop was a huge hit in Japan as well.

I just assume most people go straight to the forums and never go through that page. Probably doesn't get that many hits.

From Wiki:

Cowboy Bebop almost did not appear on Japanese broadcast television due to its depictions of gratuitous violence. It was first sent to TV Tokyo, one of the main broadcasters of anime in Japan. The show had an aborted first run from 3 April 1998, until 19 June 1998, on TV Tokyo, broadcasting only episodes 2, 3, 7 to 15, and 18.

Later that year, the series was shown in its entirety from 23 October until 23 April 1999, on the satellite network WOWOW. Because of the TV Tokyo broadcast slot fiasco, the production schedule was disrupted to the extent that the last episode was delivered to WOWOW on the day of its broadcast. Cowboy Bebop won the Seiun Award in 2000.

The full series has also been broadcast across Japan by the anime television network Animax, which has also aired the series via its respective networks across Southeast Asia, South Asia and East Asia. Cowboy Bebop was popular enough that the movie, Cowboy Bebop: Tengoku no Tobira (Knockin' on Heaven's Door), was commissioned and released in Japan in 2001, and later released in the United States as Cowboy Bebop: The Movie in 2003.

So it was popular in Japan, but not the booming success that it became Stateside.

It doesn't really say that it wasn't as popular in its native country compared to the US, though. I'm pretty sure it was a huge hit in Japan. There was a theatrical movie, several soundtracks, two video games, two manga series, and loads of merchandise to accompany it. As far as I know, that doesn't happen unless something is very popular.

With a little work you can be the next fistfulofmetal. GAF needs a new resident celebrity creeper.

Well soundtracks are a given considering Yoko Kanno's involvement and video game and manga tie-ins aren't fully indicative of success. While a movie was made it only did a very small $1 million at the Box Office, although I can't find mention of the films budget. Consider that in the same year Spirited Away did $300 million it doesn't seem like it was very popular, it was possible the movie was designed to be sold to western audiences anyway.

According to Wikipedia, the Bebop movie grossed over $3 million in Japan. Of course it wouldn't surpass a Miyazaki film which is usually highly regarded and aimed towards a wide audience. Bebop was aimed towards a more mature audience which is why it would never see the box office results that a movie like Spirited Away would see. Also, the Bebop movie began production around the time the final episode aired in Japan which was a year or so before the series reached the US. Furthermore, I don't see how a lot of merchandise wouldn't be indicative of popularity. Is that not the purpose of merchandising? Finally, I cite this little bit of info from the official Japanese Cowboy Bebop movie website:

VIDEO RELEASES
(available from Bandai Visual)
Released on VHS, Laser Disc and DVD in nine chapters (between 18th December 1998 and 25th August 1999), the combined sales for the series hit a massive 600,000 copies. In 1999, both the fourth and fifth DVDs reached the number one spot in the Oricon magazine charts!
Here's the link

I think it's safe to say Cowboy Bebop was quite popular in Japan.

Actually if you click through the wikipedia ciation to that (which is actually confused with an Imdb one) it says it made $1 Million Domestic, $2 Million foriegn. Although I cetainly stand corrected by those dvd/vhs sales!

Those are from Box Office Mojo, but it doesn't list the Japanese box office results, so that number could be a lot higher.

I've got a non threadworthy question that maybe someone can help with.

What is the official free credit report site (US)? I always get confused as to which one is the official site and which ones are the shady, sign up for credit analysis for a fee places. Hook me up somebody!

I feel dumb asking this, but what do I do with an extra computer monitor?

I have it set up to my computer, but what's a really good use / cool idea for using the extra monitor?
