Alright, well this question obviously doesn't deserve its own thread so I'll post it here.

Does anyone know where I can find that hilarious picture of Captain Picard Whining often posted around GAF?

I should have been more clear.

I'm talking about the spate of 3D films from the 80s. When I said they were trapped in 2D, I meant on home formats.
 
Was wondering if there are any tax wizards that could answer this.

I have a brother who lived with me for free most of 2009 and didn't have a job so I decided to claim him because I thought that if you claimed someone it gives you a bigger refund.

I'm just using turbotax.com but whether I claim him or not on there the refund stays the same exact amount so I'm wondering if anyone knows why that would be?

My friend's primary browser is Google Chrome. While I'm about 90% of the way to converting him to firefox, he asked me to try chrome out and see if I like it. I used it for about 10 minutes or so at his house, and it wasn't that bad, so I've been thinking about trying it on my own computer.

The only problem is, I'm a bit concerned over it being a Google product. Since pretty much all of its other products send tons of information about you to their servers, I'm not sure if I want to use Chrome.

Exactly what information does Chrome send to Google's servers about your usage?

Does it send history, settings, saved passwords, and other information like that, or is it just limited to stuff like google searches?

So, if we say "shall we run" or "shall we swim" why isnt it "shall we sex"?

"To sex" means to determine the sex of something.
 
I'm watching a DVD using VLC right now, but it keeps changing the size of the window to be larger than I want it to, usually when the chapter switches. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
 
i got sick over the week end and it felt like i was gonna get the flue (body fatigue/ aches, chills, and my head hurt). it seems to be going away cause all i have left is the extreme fatigue and my head still hurts when i cough.

i dont really have any medicine so i wanted to know if there was any home remedies to help get ride of this faster??

UPDATE: I just learned I can't trade/share my account with anyone. But I'm kind of curious if it'd be possible for me to erase my account and let my friend sign up for his own account using my email during the sign up process (which I'll let him use; I personally don't use it for anything)?

Native spanish speaker that never did any formal study, but the first thing that comes to mind when translating the words are:

Yo = I
Estoy = First person present tense of the verb "estar", which means "to be".

Your confusion might be due to the way some people will drop commonly understood words in some spoken sentences. Instead of saying "yo estoy comiendo," for "I am eating," some might simply say "estoy comiendo".

A lot of languages do that now that I think about it. French speakers are notorious for dropping the preverbal negative participle "ne" from everyday speech. So, instead of saying something like "je ne veux pas," for "I don't want to," they'll say "je veux pas."

Sometimes, I miss language studies.

It's just 60 watts. The consumed energy is usually measured in watt hours i.e. a 60 watt light bulb will consume 60 Wh in one hour. Electrical suppliers usually charges for kWh (thousands of Wh), but if you want to use another time unit that's fine too. The light bulb will consume 60 Ws in one second and 60 Wa (Wy) in one year.
 
I changed the options in my CP so that I don't see any pics or avatars (for religious reasons, to many bosoms!)

Didn't work for some reason, does anyone know what may be the cause?

BTW: If I enter a thread with a lot of pics and I want to read the last post I scroll down but because of all the pics it keeps scrolling up again,is there any way that my browser stops doing that (besides not showing pics or the last post being shown first)?

God sometimes it's really hard to write in english if your vocabulary sucks.

Try running your taxes through another site like H&R Block.

I don't know the answer, but I second the question. :lol You'd think it would be easy enough for the window to keep its place. As is, I often highlight the post I'm reading so I can more quickly find it once it scrolls away.

The image width and height would have to be specified in the HTML for it to not jump around. That's easily done on a website but not necessarily for a forum.

Because it needed to be that way for story purposes. Past that I don't recall any given reasoning that seemed believable (in-universe). We know that completely buried stargates can't even be dialed to. We're told that the iris is placed so close to the location of the event horizon that it prevents anything from successfully rematerializing. Apparently they want us to believe it being so close also prevents the kawoosh effect from happening, even though a successful connection is made?
 
Just how much BS is SEO?

My bf is trying to close a deal on revamping a website, and suddenly the representative for the company that did SEO on the site jumped in and in one e-mail tried to do all the following:

- claim that web developers don't know how to optimize code (what code, the site is entirely HTML right now :lol)
- exaggerate how much work would have to go into all of the optimization

and finally:

- turn around and say his company will offer to do a face lift on the site for $1000 :lol :lol :lol
 
My stupid question: When did Cinemax start airing HD movies in their correct aspect ratio? I can't remember the last time I've watched a letterboxed movie on Cinemax.

Granted I'm hardly as successful as other sites but I suggest contacting small time developer first. On my site I've managed to contact some developers like Gaijin Games and Twisted Pixel.

If anyone else has better advice I'd like to know too. More contacts = never a bad thing.
