Computer GAF, please help. My LCD monitor randomly goes black out for a few seconds and return to normal when I play games. It has no problem when I use other applications (like movie, game, photoshop, etc...) though. It's pretty annoying especially when I play FPS. A quick Google search shows that It might be because of the PSU. Does anyone have experience regarding this? Thanks.

Anybody know anything about donating a car to charity? I've been trying to do some research online, but all I find are websites for what seem to be for-profit companies that only give some of the money to a charity.

Just ctrl+click quote on whoever you want to reply to, then copy paste them to a single tab/post. That's what I do anyway..

They should add a 'quote' button next to all the users below when posting.

I heard they got more selective, but I donated my old junker to them and it was really easy. You just fill out the online form, sign over the title, and leave the keys in the glove compartment. They mail you the tax thing later.

Everytime I refresh the OT, every thread is marked as read except those that have been updated since I last refreshed now instead of just the ones that I've read and haven't been updated since.

I had something like that for my TV. It happened on games with very dark backgrounds and dark lighting. I can't remember the exact thing it was called, but it auto-darkened the dark parts and instead darkened the whole thing. W/e that is, turn it off.

There's a separate process for each tab as opposed to the other browsers which have one process for everything. This is to ensure that if there's a crash on one tab, it doesn't bring down everything else with it.

But I was only running like, 5 tabs? N4G, Twitter, NeoGAF (GT&OT), and a new tab. Adding up all that memory just doesn't make sense. Especially considering i'm using a flash blocker! :lol

2, Once installed, can i add a gfx card to the system?

3, The most important question though........i built a new pc for windows 7(running the beta)

This pc has only had windows 7 beta on it. So am confused by this paragraph from the site i intend to buy it from.

You can also perform a custom installation if your computer does not have a current operating system installed, although you will need a previous version of windows to be licensed to the machine to do this with an upgrade

One of the admins mentioned he was doing some server maintenance in the gaming section. Chances are it has something to do with that.

Basically what it means is that you'll have to do a clean format.

Microsoft calls a complete reformat and clean install a "custom installation".
since you're only running the beta, you can't use the upgrade. That's only for if you have XP or Vista already installed, but either way it's generally much easier to do a custom installation.

You're buying the full OS, correct? It should come with its own key for you to enter.

I'm 99% sure that your Win98SE key wouldn'tve worked anyway. If for some reason it did work, it would only be for using the upgrade feature.

Also, I see no reason why installing a graphics ward wouldn't work, so you should be fine.

Yes, baseball is played in series. 3 or 4 independent games. The pitcher and some players play some games but not others. Each game is self contained.

The site states it's a upgrade edition. But it does come with a key because my workmate showed me his copy.

So if i clean install i won't need to validate it with a previous copy of windows?(xp or vista)
