Also, sorry that you have to go through that as a friend. I know it's rough to see your buddy in that state. I hope he makes a full recovery. I should have included that in my original post, but my mind was in answering a question mode.
THX man. i hope he does too. it realy was a trip to know that i just seen him then a few minutes later he could have been gone

Why is it whenever I take a shit I can tolerate the smell and look, but whenever I enter a public bathroom and see a piece of shit laying there in the toilet I want to poke my eyes out and barf?

Why is it when I like to bask in the glory of my fart, but when someone else farts the smell is atrocious?

How can I induce an out of body experience without use of drugs?

Maybe because you're subconsciously aware of your own shit/farting that it doesn't affect you as much like when you walk in a public restroom?

It gets worse every night...

It's probably fatal familial insomnia.

Start taking care of your bucket list shit now; you'll be little more than a zombie in a few months.

Probably. I was expecting some mathematical and scientific calculations but this will do.

Sufficient sleep deprivation will probably cause your dreaming impulses to invade your waking consciousness (a horrendously simple distortion of what neuro-scientists say can happen), but you'd be a little silly to do it 'for the heck of it'.

Is there a way to make iTunes automatically go through all the music listed and remove it on a basis of whether or not the file is still available?

I looked that up for a minute and I think if you have a Mac, you can get scripts to do that. If you have Windows ... well, you shouldn't be using iTunes anyway.

Is there no longer any viable way of downloading music from myspace? I used to use download helper plugin for firefox, but that doesn't seem to work any more...

I found an artist I'm really enjoying, but all he's made are demos, so I've only been able to grab what he has on his tumblr and facebook pages, but there's more on his myspace.

Going to quote this for a new page and hopes of being answered. It really frustrates me myspace seemingly took the option away for downloading the songs... there's a lot of legitimate reasons for the musicians putting them up to download, and now none of them seem to be downloadable anymore.

Can you get it through Firebug? I use that a lot when downloading flash movies from sites that don't have a download button.

* Stay up all night, don't let yourself fall asleep during the day, then go to bed at a normal time.
* Drugs / Alcohol
* More exercise

* Sensory deprivation chamber.
* Cut a ping pong ball in half, then tape each half over an eye, then play radio static near your head while lying down
* Dream
* Legal hallucinogenics
* Major physical exertion + lightheaded + stay moving as long as possible = mild hallucinations
* Don't sleep for a long time

If I can I have no idea how. I've run into a couple of articles, all a couple years old, but what they're saying just doesn't seem to apply to it anymore.

It is just another way to disorient yourself and mess with your senses, like a sensory deprivation tank. It apparently works, too.

Think about your impending death and eternal lack of existence over and over until you get a panic attack about the mere insanity of the fact that everything you do and everything you are is meaningless and about to be taken away from you forever.

We are all trapped: either trapped inside finite meaningless lives, or trapped inside this vast, meaningless, limitless eternity.

There is no escape.

Can anyone recommend a Smart phone that Can be used with Prepaid cards and has wifi and is able to use skype so I can maybe use in my house. I don't have cell phone reception at my house and wanted something that maybe skype could be used as alternative. This is in East Coast if that matters for maybe carrier or something.

That did it for me. I started having them while playing Demon's Soul then woke up five hours later passed out in my bed without realizing how I got there.

About 2 months ago, I bought an MSI A6000 laptop for my wife. It was only $450, but it's a pretty good machine. The only issue is a minor inconvenience that I can't seem to be able to fix. For some reason, some sort of "remote camera" app loads every time we put it to sleep. When we wake it up, we see this

I don't think the laptop even has bluetooth. It'd be nice if I could find the option to turn this thing off. Creeps me out. I feel like some 15 year old is staring at my wife through the webcam or something.

No, there isn't.

The best you can do is force yourself to conform as much as possible. Wake at local time, eat at local time, get out into the sunlight, socialize at local time, go to bed at local time.

Humans run on a 23 (or 25?) hour clock, and recover about 60-90 minutes of difference a day. Despite this, the Navy runs their subs on a 18-hour day. Add in the lack of sunlight, and it gets much worse. Those guys with their finger at the button to launch nukes to anywhere in the planet? Permanently jetlagged.

10 days should have been enough to get you over the worst of it., though. If you have a couple days til work, you should be fine. Just get out in the sun, eat, and try to make your sleep schedule conform (avoid naps).

Have you (or she) ever connected a bluetooth device to the laptop? Say a cellphone or headset.

No. But I should mention that the laptop was an Office Depot floor model, so it's possible, if unlikely, that a bluetooth device was once connected to it.

Without being there to dick around with it myself, something to try:
When the camera thing opens, look for any sort of tray icon and otherwise, try to find bluetooth settings in the Control Panel, looking out for anything you can disable, or any connection you can delete. If you run into any errors while doing that, you might try Run --> services.msc, find "Bluetooth Support Service" and see if it's running (you want that service to be running to mess around with bluetooth settings).

Never cared to know but do we get into trouble for double posts? I know some forums do not encourage it.

Not really. Don't intentionally do it without having anything new to say, is the important thing. The big way to fuck up is double post days later with nothing new to say, just "bump" or some retarded shit.

It gets worse every night...

I have a history of this. Recently it was so bad I was awake until 7am and sleeping until 1 or 2 and getting more and more exhausted.

Answer was to have someone knock on my bedroom door every day at 9:30am and make sure I got up, and get the time earlier every day.

Last night I went to sleep at 2am and got up at 8am so it's getting better. Still not sleeping enough though. My problem is I *like* being awake at night and hate morning light.

My photobucket is at 80% of the allotted bandwidth usage for a free account. Is there a way to lower that without deleting content? If not, any suggestions for an alternate to use that doesn't have a limit since this one is close to the threshold?

start > run > type msconfig,

go to the startup tab and look through that list for something resembling the camera or bluetooth. Disable it and voila, shouldn't pop up again...

Hey GAF, I'm working on a school assignment and I'm looking for someone who operates a small business to answer questions regarding utility costs.

Just want to know what is the monthly cost for:

b) Electric
c) Hydro

Can anyone tell me the name of this surreal and depressing French animation I vaguely remember - it was about a mother and her dog attempting to rescue her kidnapped son who was a famous Tour de France cyclist, or something. There was barely any dialogue and the film had a really strange and surreal quality to it.

Is an eyewear store required to have an up to date prescription in order to put lenses into a pair of new frames? I only have my prescription from 2004 and have no issues whatsoever with it, but was told that I had to see an optometrist for a more recent examination. I don't really want to spend $200 on an exam when my current one is fine...

The Triplets of Belleville.

I used an old prescription when I got my current glasses, but they hassled me first and said I should go to the doctor. I told them it was an emergency second pair and wanted it to be the same as my regular pair. They did it, but then they kept my prescription and claimed they lost it....

If your eyes are as bad as mine, it'll be a bit off anyway because the exact angle of the lenses will be different in the new frame.

Alright, thanks. I can probably just argue a bit with them; it isn't like they're losing any money off me not getting an exam, since this place doesn't have an in-house optometrist. My eyes aren't that bad, it's just distance viewing that gets me.

alright so due to a situation with one of his eyes (has had surgery but doesnt seem to be doing a ton of help) my pop reads large print books now. but he reads about 4 books a week and the selection at his local libraries for large print books arent the greatest, he is running out of things to read.

so what im wondering is there some kind of ereader or computer program (mac) that is like on the subscription model where he can pay a monthly fee and read whatever he wants. he is retired and buying 4 new books every week isnt going to happen.

or any ideas i looked online and there seems to be at least two places that are like netflix but with books but they didnt show or group together their large print books
