Right, after stumbling upon this site a few times (often through N4G) I decided to sign up.
My question is just how much influence does Neogaf have in the industry? Collectively, can you change things or make things happen? I know some devs post here, is that rare and do they actually interact on here?

My Google-Fu is stronger than yours. I've seen it posted on GAF before and when I searched for it I immediately got two hits on the first page of Google Search results. Unfortunately I don't know her name, number, or story.

I've been trying to think of a word for a good 15 minutes now, but I can't get it out. It means for someone to let something happen to them without any resistance or care. In a sentence it would kinda be used like: "How could anyone ____ively let their cat jump off a roof?"

So here's a stupid question. It seems to me that doing a commute zepplin/blimp would be a really good idea. All you need is several central parking lots to do pick ups and drop offs. But no one's done anything like this. I know I can't be the only one with the idea so there must be something that I'm missing, something rudimentary.

Gaf, I'm using Netvibes to follow and read some RSS feeds but lately, some seems to... no refresh anymore.
I thought it was due to the lack of new content but it's from two majors news provider and I refuse to believe that the french equivalent of the New York Times just don't publish RSS anymore: they do publish articles on their site.
But the RSS is like dead.
I tried to delete my RSS box and redo it on my netvibes but it's not working.
Any similar experience ? Any idea ?

I just got an alcohol citation last night. The problem is I am 20 and this will be my second. (the first was back when I was 17) This time around, though, I didn't blow anything and I wasn't given a test to prove that I had a beer or not. The cops showed up a supposed first time but I had no idea. I was with my buddies driving at the time so we had no clue. We arrived shortly after the first cops incident and about 30 minutes later the cops came back a second time. I was written up for being in 'possession' at an underage party, but in actuality I was sitting on a couch next to a beer pong table with alcohol on the table (which is still considered possession). So I am being court summoned sometime this year and the blower is that I will be 21, most likely, at court.
So my question gaf is: What will my fine look like since I didn't consume any alcohol (and they have no proof) but I was around beer at a party? (just curious since I will be paying this off so I hope its not extreme!)
