If a President of the United States doesn't run for re-election immediately after his previous term, can he take a break, and then run to become President for his second term later?
 
Why do people insist on continuing a game of Scrabble when they're down by 100+ points, all of the power letters like Z, J, and Q are used up and none of the triple word scores are open.

So annoying. Resign already!

It would be great for someone to do a great first term, says he did all he needed to, and retire, and then the next President messes everything up, and the former guy gets back his presidency by 'coming to the rescue'.

Would make a great campaign.
 
Has anybody here used Staples online print service to print big shit, like say 24x36? I want to get an image blown up for print (pick it up at the store) but I'm hesitant to pay $30 for it to turn out shiity. The base image is about 2600x1700. Thanks for any help.

It may be a tad squished. What matters is how much DPP/DPI it has.

72 is good for the web, 300 is like picture quality
 
This is sort of out of the blue, but a while back somebody asked if it was true that you can't read text in your dreams.

Just wanted to report that I had a really bizarre dream last night where I was reading the comics page of a newspaper, and I could totally read all the text. The comic strip characters were commenting on what had been going on in the dream so far, and prophesying what would happen next, and random shit like that.

Weird thing was, there were no pictures in the comics, only the speech bubbles. Don't know what the fuck that means.

Or, a friend from your hood or 'hometown'. I'd go with the latter.

I suspect you're looking for the etymology of Homeboy in which case I can't help.
 
There's a bit on the etymology of 'homeboy' on Wikipedia. Not sure where I heard this, and it doesn't appear on the Wikipedia page, but I'd always thought it was a bastardisation of 'hombre'.
 
I have an Epson NX300, and the black ink cartridge is full, while the cyan, yellow, and magenta are all low. The printer says they need to be replaced before I can print. I don't want color or anything. Just black ink and that's it. Is there any way of still printing?
 
Is there any need or good reason to format a brand new portable external hard drive? I just got a second one to use for my actual backup drive since I decided to use my first as a storage device for my WD TV Live. I don't think I formatted the first one at all, and it works fine.
 
What's the best way to moisturize your skin to keep it from peeling after you've gotten a bad sunburn? I assume its an over the counter the moisturizer but so many of those are so damn oily and pore clogging. Anyone have a good one to recommend?

The thing i always heard was that you can read text, but if you look away and look back it changes. the only thing i can ever remember reading in my dreams is a digital clock, which did chage when i looked away and looked back.

So now i have a zyxel (from ISP)-->Linksys WAG200G-->internet

Works okay, but my question is, how do i access the linksys' config page?

The default ip doesnt work anymore, because its connected to the zyxel.

So whats the address to connect?

you have to do a direct connect to the linksys probably. just hope you don't have to use a static ip.
 
Question, unlikely anyone will know anything about this, but I just installed google chrome and I'm installing some extensions. I installed the lastfm. thing, it's in my task bar but when I load up a song, it won't play. It's stuck at 0 seconds and it's not paused.

For the price you really some powerful hardware. the graphics card is good for a laptop, and its a card that runs cool.

two things:

1) It's Acer. They have a bad reputation in general about build quality. It's not as bad as HP, or something, but it's not the best either. I know people who have had good and bad experiences with Acer!

2) It's a 17'' Notebook! Maybe you like the screen and the size, but if you like mobility and want to carry it around with good battery, go grab the Acer 3820... It's basically the same machine (just make sure you find a version with the good graphics card, and not the bad graphics) but in a much smaller 13'' inch chassis. It doesnt have a DVD Drive, but who needs that in days of steam? it's like 1.6 kilo(around 3 pounds) and it has great battery.. it also has an extra heatsink for better overclocking, and it just runs cool in general.
It's also part of the Acer Timeline series which is said to have better build quality.
The keyboard and screen is defintely not the best in the world, but I think most notebooks out there have it tough it that category.
I think 17 is so big that I would rather get a desktop and a small portable gaming laptop... the 3820 really is the best option. The only alternatives are Alienware m11x(not very good CPU thou...) and Sony Vaio Z(over 2 grand!)!
 
Why does Standard definition look so awful on an HDTV? You'd think that it being an HDTV it would play Standard def in better "quality" or at least the same quality as a Standard Definition tv. What gives?

HD TV extend the video to fit to the screen.

Just try to take a tiny pic on your comptuer, then zoom on it untill it's full size on your screen: quality is horrible. It's what happens with standart source displayed on HD TV.
 
My wireless adapter for my 360 seems to be dying to some extent. It's not getting as good connection as it used to get. If I take the cable from my computer and put it in the 360, it solves the problem of lag.

My question is: how much will a router slow my connection if I connect both my 360 and computer to it? I don't want to have to keep switching the cables back and forth, and a new wireless adapter for the 360 is too criminally expensive.

Well maybe we can fix the wireless issue. what channel is your router set to? if you don't know, its most likely the default (channel: 6) try changing it to Channel 1 or 11(I use 11). just Google your router + channel if you don't know how.

the router shouldn't have any trouble handling your comp and 360. if you're worried about lag, why don't you just use an ethernet cable? 100' ones are pretty cheap (around $8) if length is the restriction.
 
keen. I'll try out the channel deal later tonight or tomorrow. The Ethernet cable going into my computer (the one I've been temporarily using on the system) is one of those 100 foot dealies. The main router for the internet is in my roommate's room, so this would be the second router the internet would be traveling through into either the 360 or the computer.
