It took me a over a year to have that moment you're expecting after my father died. I don't know yet if I've come to terms with it properly and it's almost two years now.

The important thing to remember is that there's no wrong way to feel.
 
How do you go about buying a pay as you go phone in the US? How do the plans work? In the UK, you can get a fairly cheap phone with £10 of credit on it, and you can top that up in a number of ways when it goes low. Is that the same in the US?

What's the quickest and easiest way to learn music theory? i taught myself how to play guitar and because i don't know music theory it makes it tough to create music.

Back up the stuff you need to the external. Unplug the external, then reformat the laptop.

Install antivirus (Don't use that Norton that you have. I suggest avast antivirus.) and everything and make sure the computer is secure before you even /think/ about plugging the external back in.

Also make sure you have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware installed.

When you're secure and ready, plug the external back in and then run a full scan on it using Malwarebytes.

That should fix all your problems.

Wow, plenty of bad stuff on there. I tried to use a thumb drive with XP on it to reformat, but it didn't work. So I ended up looking up the keys to hold when powering it up to restore it to factory default. Booted it up, downloaded Firefox, then Avast, then the Malwarebytes program. Computer still had a couple of adware things on it and the HDD had some bad stuff, but I think it's in good sorts now.

Now I am just trying to uninstall the Nortan Security '05 that was on it. It is proving to be a long process...

I am no better informed about cleaning stuff than you, but I would probably scrub it with vinegar.
 
I am in Australia - and so can't order the badass Revoltech figures from Amazon.

Is there a way to receive iTunes podcast feeds in Google Reader? I want to subscribe to a couple podcasts but they only offer iTunes links, no traditional RSS.

I have seen many small dogs, and they really seem like the most self-defeating creatures possible. They bark at pretty much any noise that occurs outside their domain, yet they are about as harmless as rabbits. In the wild, anything that couldn't kick their ass (I have seen neighborhood cats trash them) or eat them would be prey that they shouldn't be alerting. Anything that is not prey would likely be something large, alerted to the nearby presence a free snack.

Seriously, they are so pathetic that being in a pack wouldn't help.
 
Also, how do you get hash tags to work? When I do them on twitter and youtube, they don't turn into a link. I see unlinked tags from other posters, too.

No. Most dog breeds are due to selective (artificial) breeding by us. If you want to know what dogs looked like before we started meddling, look at a Mexican wolf or an Australian dingo and other similar animals in the genus "Canis"

I just installed a Flash update yesterday and now Youtube is running like crap. I mean it nearly crashes Firefox if I try to click anything on the page, or even try to close the tab on which the page is loaded. I have to minimize and then maximize Firefox as a whole to be able to get the video to start running again, or to close it. Anyone know how to fix this?
 
Can I essentially down-rate a friend on Facebook so that their shit never winds up on my feed?

The situation is borderline high school drama; I don't want to see anything from them unless I specifically navigate to their page, but I don't want to de-friend them because it'll cause further drama.

I'm using hotmail and i want to send an e-mail to around 40 different contacts, but i dont want the individual recievers to see all the adresses i've sent this message to.

I know its possible but fuckin' hell i cant find it :lol

It's down for me too, RIGHT in the middle of the upload. I was staring at the green progress bar for like 5 minutes thinking "my connection can't be that slow". I need it too.

Edit: Just noticed the time of your post, it must have been back up since you wrote this since I was using it 10 minutes ago fine. I guess it's just having a few problems tonight.

Amazing angelito! (Angel Di Maria), it's been a couple of times since he's saved Mourinho's Madrid, he should make him start to see what happens. If he puts dumb Ozil that has been playing badly for the last 3 games, why doesn't he put in Di Maria?

Send it to yourself, put them as bcc
