Are GAF's colors orange and black or orange and grey/graphite? The "NeoGAF" in the logo would imply the former, but the image itself would imply the latter.

I'm watching Seinfeld, The Boyfriend, they're talking about the baseball innuendos for sex, that comes up a lot in American TV and film, and I don't know what they are. First base is kissing, and a home run is shagging, but what are the other bits?

2nd base is boobs, and I believe 3rd is oral.

Been looking into this apartment for a while now, finally got a credit check and was almost ready to dive in. Was googling the address, and this was the first result. Has anybody dealt with this website before? The FAQ says that it's obviously not 100%, because they don't really check facts. I'm going to call the guy tomorrow and ask him about it.

If there are bed bugs in certain sections of the building (it's pretty big), is it inevitable that they would infect the entire thing?

how many miles should a beginner jog?? how many days a week??

The best thing to do is about 3-5, but not straight. If you are an absolute beginner: Run for 1.5 minutes, walk for 1.5 minutes, rinse and repeat.

cool thanks :D and yes im an absolute beginner.

i did it for the first time yesterday and i did 3 miles at the park i went to(it also had elevation changes). i dont know the ratio of how long i ran to how much i walked but i would jog for as long as i could until i was completely gassed...walk...then start again. my quads aren't sore(dont know if there supposed to be) but everything under my knees are like my calfs and shines. even my lower back is a sore.

so i know im doing something wrong. does it sound like its my posture?? was it just to much for my first time??

Is there an easy or automated way to add city locations to a map? I want to pinpoint several cities (and only those) in a German political map. Wikipedia has a blank map here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2c/Karte_Bundesrepublik_Deutschland.svg so the manual way to do it would be by adding the points manually (and inaccurately) using Photoshop.
Lol, for fun I threw it into Wolfram Alpha:

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=berlin+frankfurt+mannheim+aschen+location
(I added "location" to the query, otherwise it drew paths between the cities.)

No names, but locations listed. I am amazed.

Thank you.

I have another vaguely Seinfeld relented question.

Where did the Snapple advertising meme come from? I've seen a few US shows where they'll do jokey product placement jokes with Snapple, some really big ones like in 30 Rock when someone dresses up as Snapple.

From what I've heard bedbugs are pretty notorious and can infect a whole building. There was a "This American Life" a few weeks ago with a woman whose apartment in NYC was infested. Scary stuff.

Dr. Pepper, who owns Snapple, has been trying to 'reinvent' the brand for a couple of years, and does a lot of placement for that 18-35 age group who's going to be watching prime time TV. Seinfeld's original mention of Snapple was done for humor's sake and not a paid endorsement, and coincided with the "Snapple lady" campaign which helped the brand really take off in the early '90s.

30 Rock in particular may be taking a page from the Seinfeld book by using the required placement in more irreverent ways than just having a bottle of Snapple sitting on someone's desk.

Interesting, I'd like to know more about how that kind of thing works, I should do some research. I know some companies pay for their stuff to be on shows and in films, such as Apple with 30 Rock, but there also instances where people can't even get permission to have real stuff on their show/film and have to make up new brands etc.

Thanks for the reply.

I've never tasted Snapple, I'm going to get one next time I go shopping.

That was back in early middle school. For guys:
1. Kissing/Boobage -- they go hand in hand
2. Fingering
3. Oral
4. Sex/Vaginal & Anal

Girls:
1. Kissing
2. Handy
3. Oral
4. Sex/Vaginal & Anal

Makes no sense to go from boob grabbing to eating the girl out. Like wise saying a hand job is equal to boob grabbing also doesn't seem quite right.

Yep, after further research that shithole has a fucking 9% on apartmentratings.com :lol. Promptly emailed them that I was no longer interested. Oh well, at least I know my credit score now!

Well I think there used to be the old saying, "French, feel, finger, fuck" or something. Still sounded cool.

When prince charles becomes king of england, will his face be printed on all new currency? and if so, will my queen elizabeth dollars be worth much more in future?

My thumb on my right hand, although not injured in any way, is in intense pain right now. There are no marks on it, it's not inflamed, no visible problems. Any guesses on what's going on? Am I dying?

Do people on GAF purposely hold off posting until the 50 and 00 posts are made? Seems like 1/3 of my posts end up as the last one on a page, and when I look at the timestamps, there's constant activity up to 49 or 99 and a 10 minute gap before my post.

I'll tell you in six posts time...

It would be pretty lame if they did, I don't actually like to get the virgin page, but I'm on 100 post per page so I never notice if I'm the 51st etc

I admit that I do it if I'm cognizant of the fact that my post has the possibility of being the last on a page. I usually don't notice, but if I do I'll usually wait.

So I imagine other people do it too.

Tracking the shipment of a shirt I bought from Threadless.

Is my shirt going on a tour or something ?
A lot of overnight shippers use the FedEx model of shipping where every package is routed through a Hub. Every single FedEx overnight package went to Memphis at one point, even if you were only sending it a block or two away from where you mailed it. I think they've been trying to cut down on this in recent years though

im pretty intrigued as to how delivery routing software works. must be ridiculously complicated, trying to decide what will work best

Hey, good question! Probably, when the next redesign is done. And no.

Yeah, I think a lot of people do this.

Doubtful on the latter, there's simply waaaay too many Elizabeth-face currency for it to become rare.

I just got a new HDD recently for my laptop and put a fresh install of W7 on it. It downloaded the same IDT audio drivers that I get from HP for the Altec Lansing speakers. Now the highs sound terrible and there is no change when I mess with the equalizer. I format every couple a month and get the IDT driver from Windows Update every time and never had this happen before. Anyone know whats up with that?

Try setting the resolution to 1080p from the nVidia control panel.

So I have wax buildup in my left ear and can't hear anything out of it. How can I fix this quickly?

My brother had this and my mother put olive oil in his ear and all the wax drained out. You could go see your doctor too if you want, he'll do something similar.

^Never heard of doing that.

Lay on your side and pour enough hydrogen peroxide in it to fill the hole, site there for at least 10 minutes.

I've been recording some audio, but oddly I've recieved a tonne of feedback from what I think is my laptop's fan. The thing isn't loud in reality, but the recording makes it sound louder than me, a person speaking into a headset... Any way to fix this short of getting a new laptop (because this one is pretty new), or replacing the fan? I tried using a variety of programs to record it, from Audacity, to even the lowest of the low, Sound Recorder.

When in the shower turn down the heat, then tip your head fill up and repeat a few times. Thats how I do most times

I'm not sure how it could be feedback, if it is you aren't recording with headphones, which is ill advised.

I actually am recording with a headset that has a mic, and two ear pieces. Maybe feedback isn't the right word, but it sounds like the mic is picking up the fan noises. I don't believe it is the mic, as before the fan goes, the sound is what I expect.

How do railroad companies feel about grafitti? It's on almost every traincar I see so I was wondering if it's something they expect to happen and do nothing to prevent, or if they try to stop it?

Feedback occurs when the sound is looping thru the system, i.e. the mic is recording a fan, the fan is coming out of speaker, the mic is also recording the speaker.

What I would suggest, if that mic is your only one, would be to either use different earphones/headphones to hear what you're recording, or to try and record without monitoring at the same time.

If there is still low level fan noise, and you don't want to fork out for better gear (which is understandable), you can use a noise gate to get rid of the fan, this will result in losing some of the detail of the tone of what you actually want to record, but it's a half-decent solution.

Actually a doctor will probably syringe it out with warm water. Basically they squirt water in your ear with a bucket underneath.

It feels really odd.

I've had something similar, though I wouldn't call it feedback. The shielding in your laptop isn't good enough, so it's going to pick up internal noise (I think it was the HDD in my case). There isn't really anything you can do as far as I know.
