I hear ya. Still 16gb seems to be the sweet spot for me. I'll be able to hold the PS+ games I'm playing at the time without concern. I have no desire to add movies or music, so 32gb just seems like overkill.

Anyone with a 32gb care to chime in? Is that much storage really necessary, especially if I'm not going to purchase more than a handful of games a year?

I haven't checked to see if you've been answered, but:

Uncharted, Gravity Rush, wipEout, Mutant Blobs, FF Tactics, Jet Set, and PlayStation All Stars is a total of about 9.5gigs. A 16GB card should do you good for a bit.

I deactivated and then restored mine. It's an option under settings>format system or something like that.

It will ask if you want to deactivate the system before restoring it. Of course select Yes and then restore.

It will go back to how it was when you first bought it brand new.

Deactivate your account on that device by going to your PSN settings.
Then just format the system. If you're selling the card, format that as well.

Otherwise keep the card to use in the new system.

I'm just worried I'm buying into a floundering platform. My retina iPad takes out a lot of the allure of the Vita's multimedia functions, and it's difficult to justify purchasing the system on the strength of its forthcoming releases.

But still. At $180 with two games, any bouts of regret I experience are guaranteed to be ephemeral. That's impulse-buy territory.

Well, it will surely flounder if more people don't pick one up. That's the reason it's floundering, people are taking a wait and see, most wishing for a price drop. Well, here's the price drop. Take the opportunity to revel in a shit ton, savings wise. I bought a second white Vita Liberation bundle 10/30 for $249. I'm not even mad about it, the white is sexy and the game is fantastic. I'm not a huge AC fan, so the newness of the series - an open world, beautiful, fully populated world in your hands...

My black launch Vita is being regifted this holiday and I much prefer the white.

Vita, standard, no ltd edition bundle is $249 + 4 GB = $20 + AC3L = $40 + PSASBR = $40 + PS+ = 17.99.....

(with plus you get Uncharted, Wipeout, Jet Set Radio, FFTactics, Mutant Blobs and Gravity Rush FREE) = 8 games total!

You guys are getting ALL of that for $179, and still can't bring yourself to purchase an amazing system? You can't crow about a dying platform when they've offered the deal you've all been waiting for, and haven't the heart to put $ where the mouth is?

I've got a ton of games retail, most offered now on plus (I don't subscribe to +) - So, I've got 18 retail games + some Vita PSN games, all within 9 months. Such a good system.

Killzone, Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice, Sly Cooper 4, a Gravity Rush sequel and more all in the pipes for 2013.
