I trust my credit union and Visa (or whichever) above all.
Calling a store or service regarding a CC issue feels so fruitless when your own CC company takes care of matters quickly.

I trust I will never lose anything if my card were to ever be stolen.

It was the thought that they endangered my id and password that bothered me more.
 
Use virtual credit card numbers if you are so paranoid. You can always deauthorize them, and they can only be used by one merchant. If the number is stolen, it will be useless to anyone else.

Also, never use the same username/password combo on any two sites/services. (Use a password manager to keep track) If your username/pw is compromised it wont get them in anywhere else.
 
I don't want to go off topic but in my case I have been shopping online for a while and have yet to have a problem, I just feel that PSN hack was way overblown and at least it wasn't like the 360 FIFA problem where people I believe lost money.
 
The funny thing for me during the PSN hack was that I was so freaked out that I cancelled the card used on PSN and constantly checked the account for fraud a few times a day. I was so paranoid.

2 days later, I get a call from the bank tell me that my other credit card, the one I never once used on PSN, had a fraudulent charge. Someone bought a plane ticket to the Caribbean. I just sat there thinking "Really?".
I was so paranoid about the PSN one and someone got my other card number and I still have no idea how.
 
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but can we add these 30 day "trials" to our year accounts? I'm subbed until next year and I want to add these 3 trials to my account before I forget.

I, and many others, don't want my credit card numbers on my games consoles or with companies that have had issues with protecting customer information in the past.

Credit card numbers may never have been stolen but their security was compromised. Maybe next time the numbers will be stolen.

It is better to err on the side of caution.
 
Ha, I picked Standard shipping (3-5 days), it said it was expected to get here the 29th, but I just checked the shipping status and apparently it's going to get here today! So excited!

I believe ING gives you a credit/Debit offer as well through their orange accounts and they are international. They offer awesome interest rates and you barely have to keep anything in there. That would be a win/win solution to not have your main CC info out there and have little to no risk.

It seems like it sold well, but then again it was only 1 weekend and I have been frequenting gaming specific sites...

Amazon, lost my package, their first suggestion after admitting this was to cancel my order and order from one of the resellers on Amazon......for 300.00 dollars, BUT they said, they'd waive the shipping fee...................

Had to talk to a manager to get them to issue me a replacement, though they have no idea when they'll restock. Mind you this is AFTER the first customer service person told me she GUARANTEED it'd be there Saturday evening, and then the next one GUARANTEED it'd be there today. Took a long time saying well if it's on the way why does UPS have no tracking for it, for them to admit the package must have been lost. If the first customer service rep would have just admitted this, it would have still been in stock and I could have gotten a replacement, forcing me to wait and wait and wait, and then saying to just cancel instead is not the way to handle this.

I'm not seeing the great customer service people claim Amazon has.
 
Awesome, not only did my Vita arrive with retail Battle Royale, even got another code for retail Little Big Planet, all for 147€.
 
Just got home and mine was waiting for me. Is like 10 outside so need to let it warm up for a few hours before I can turn it on. Have to work soon so might take it to work to set up there. Then get home and transfer uncharted and enjoy for a day before I wrap back up for xmas.

Credit Unions are the best places. they usually have 0 charges for the accounts and you can get a debit card to use to pull directly from your savings. Just add limited funds into that account that you are going to use. I do this for paypall/E-bay transactions, so if anyone was to hack the account, they would get very little if anything from me.
 
excellent. mine arrived in queens this morning. i live in bk. amazon expects it to arrive weds. i expect it to arrive today or tomorrow! just in time for my hawaii trip on saturday

Banks protect it in the fact they EVENTUALLY will refund you but if it's a debit card it can take up to a month before they refund the money lost in your account.

Thought I saw it could be up to 3 days after the vita is delivered. I am in the same boat got my vita but waiting on codes. I am not to worried this is amazon they are top notch most of the time.

Not sure why you didnt get a code. I would contact them. My order shipped on sat (usps :() and both my codes were emailed to me on sunday morning.

Same. Mine shipped Friday and I received it Saturday. I got my Assassin's Creed 3 code but none of the PS+ or All-Stars codes.
 
The two Vitas I ordered have shipped! Sadly I'll have to wait two weeks to have them because I have someone importing them for me :(
