This week's Famitsu mag scan (new GC Harvest Moon, NDS etc)

The big text for Harvest Moon says that "it looks like a best of the best of Harvest Moon". Should be a decent title.

Who's doing Londonian Gothics?

Also, I really like how Caduceus is shaping up. I really wish Tendo Dokuta would make the jump over here, along with this.

I hope they have the time & the will to release that new Harvest Moon game in the US.
It's Natsume... they'll release it even it's mail order only. They were still supporting SNES after N64 had launched irrc.

I believe the new Yoshi game is the first to properly use the touch screen feature of the DS for a new game idea. Drawing lines of clouds is just awesome, i'm getting an excellent vibe from that game! That Kirby game looks decent i guess, but i can't figure out how you're supposed to play it by drawing those lines.

The fights in Egg Monster Heroes look interesting, but i guess it's some sort of Pokemon like RPG? Oh and Mario Party looks great too.

What is the major difference between Touch&Go and that Kirby game?

Another thing: does the DS have better 2D capabilities than the AGB? By that I mean things like less restrictive color palettes, more sprites, better tile support, etc.

When you look at that Kirby game, the gfx just look really, really nice, kinda like they're not using tiles at all.

Unfortunately I can't see the scans, but later I will

I think Harvest Moon will be released here, the other one didn't fail here from my point of view

We will start to see better ideas for the DS, remember the NES and the N64 era? at the beginning there were only 2D scrolling games and 3D platformers and ended up in things like fighting games and open ended games like Zelda or GTA

Damn a new Harvest Moon. And I haven't even touched my copy of a Wonderful Life. Now I'm wondering if I should at all or wait for this one....

Whoa.. that Harvest Moon game looks really good. That's how the first one should've looked like.

Also what's with that thing mooning us in one of the egg hero screen.

Depends on how much of a time-sink you want to put into it. The first few "chapters" are okey but then the game gets very monotonous. The Girl version speeds it up a bit by shortening the game, but it's pretty much the same thing as the boy one.

This new one looks to be a lot more fun than AWL. I never even finished my Boy game (even got to the very last chapter) and I've kinda stalled on chapter 2 of the Girl version. I'm really excited to see how the villagers move in and out of this new town.

DS has about 8 times the RAM GBA did. RAM pools really held back GBA games from what I understand, on paper the chip should be able to outperform NeoGeo or CPS2. DS not only alleviates this problem, but has an ARM7 chip clocked twice as fast plus a whole additional ARM9 chip+ 3D instuction set that can be used for 2D. DS should be better than N64 or PS1 for 2D, maybe even approaching Saturn.

Pana can probably go into it better...

Is it wrong to have coveted thoughts about a scanner?

Every one I've ever owned produced real noise-fests in comparison to what neo2046 produces.

Found 'em!

All of this HM talk but nothing about KH2.
Jack looks amazing. I love looking at KH screens. Impressive modeling,

HM does look great, though.

I like A Wonderful Life, and all...but consider me impressed with this new game...much more impressed. I didn't even finish a year of A Wonderful Life. Got pulled out of it by a couple of game purchases, never got back into it.

It looks like Mario Party GBA is stressing 2 players on 1 GBA play, which is kind of awesome and disappointing at the same time. It's good because I'll probably use my DS more often than not, but I hope there is an alternative link mode.

am I the only one who doesn't like the extremely over-chibified characters though?

At least there is SOME sense of style, which I really feel that AWL lacked...everything seems more lifelike in the new title.
