Why am I getting this weird visions of Celda Link smoking a joint?
Those look more like blunts than cigs. Might wanna fix that.hkk said:I need input on this. It's going in my portfolio and I'm far from done but I need some input now.
I'm going to put some swirls in there, make it look really swanky. Right in the middle I'm going to put a vertor drawn brain. In the background where you see the orange, there's going to be comic strip like panels showing more things that danger society such as alcohol, guns, and what have you. I just hope it doesn't get too busy, but that's the point. Also, i need to know what's the actual percentage of the brain humans use, I just put in a random number because I forgot.

I need to photo manip. those hands and cigs better to make them look more genuine. Probably erase the part where the cig is burning..yeah. Either or touch that up...Ah, this is a fun project. Photos with 2d is pretty fun.
This looks much better. Don't know what you did, but that did itgeogaddi said:![]()
Dang, I know how to use photoshop to a certain degree but, I've never found out to do those types of curves and "cartoon"-looking-cel-shading graphics. The closest thing I've ever found to be "cartoony" is using the "Cut-out" option in photoshop's filters.
I've seen some of you here at GAF, I think olimario, turn had drawn stuff into photoshop cartoon stuff. How the heck do you do that?

Good job, man. Looks like a professional campaign, to me.Chittagong said:An European viewpoint to the topic:
In Europe graphic design is very much seen as a functional communications vehicle which targets some specific outcomes.
For example
1. Getting people realize that smoking weed makes them less capable
2. Educate people in greater detail about the effects of weed
As an example of this thinking, I took your "10% of the brain" concept and developed a communications concept that would target these two goals.

I'm not sure if this is relevant to your project - or if the scope is more illustration than communication. My 0.5 cents anyway!
Claim: We use only ten percent of our brains.
Status: False.
Origins: Someone
has taken most of your brain away and you probably didn't even know it. Well, not taken your brain away, exactly, but decided that you don't use it. It's the old myth heard time and again about how people use only ten percent of their brains. While for the people who repeat that myth, it's probably true, the rest of us happily use all of our brains.
The Myth and the Media
That tired Ten-Percent claim pops up all the time. In 1998, national magazine ads for U.S. Satellite Broadcasting showed a drawing of a brain. Under it was the caption, "You only use 11 percent of its potential." Well, they're a little closer than the ten-percent figure, but still off by about 89 percent. In July 1998, ABC television ran promotional spots for The Secret Lives of Men, one of their offerings for the fall season's lineup. The spot featured a full-screen blurb that read, "Men only use ten percent of their brains." ....

It's probably not done in Photoshop then. To get that kind of "cartoon" look, youd want to use something like Illustrator, or another vector-based program. Or at the very least, the pen tool in Photoshop. It's a completely different type of program, and requires different skills and techniques, but thats the best way to go about it.geogaddi said:![]()
