Guy is proven fraud. Stop it.

TI talks like he knows stuff, but he doesnt and his info is misleading or wrong - so stop giving him exposure!
Also he is using laywers to send C&D´s to shut down critics:

This guy hate boner for TAA/dlss and other upscaling methods is so weird.
We were there. I remember when neither SMAA/FXAA or TAA was available. That was before 2012/2013.... yes... upscaling and temporal AA methods are a thing ONLY FOR LIKE 10 years.
And we were there... and everything was shimmering. always. and crawling... and msaa was expensive as fuck and nobody was using it

someone should send a lawyer to shut down the wardrobe and stylist of that hipster poseur looking twat.
Who the fuck cares about his looks?
Are we judging people by their looks or their skills/knowledge?
Unlike TI Dalles actually knows what he is talking about and how to optimize UE5!

That's a thing on many PC gamers, they're obsessed over sharp edges.

I still can't stand how shimmery Batman AK and Rise of the Tomb Raider look. I didn't care before until I had a low end gaming PC and had to run ROTR at very low resolution, then I got the Switch and other low resolution games looked way more stable, I started appreciating TAA a lot.

Also, I know it's a problem when you have very low res input or try to use it at 1080p, which IMO makes it look too blurry but 1440p and 4K TAA and similar techniques look great, I rather have soft edges I will barely care about than a shimmer fest all over the screen.

Yeah, he's just a grifter. And I use the term intentionally as he's way too purposeful for it to be purely the product of ignorance/ego.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt initially, but no question in my mind at this point that he's just weaponizing gamer dissatisfaction to line his pockets.
He's very good at creating a perception of meaning in content where none actually exists; for example in the video his first thing is saying that a certain element of the pipeline takes a certain amount of time, and presents it as if this is time wasted. However he follows this immediately by saying you can't remove this because it breaks the rendering and asserts they (Warhorse) could do this elsewhere. Which is clearly a false argument as the way he presents it he doesn't have to explain the effect of or quantify the cost of of shifting the workload elsewhere in the pipeline!

Is it possible to have only the edges soft?? Because everything becames blurry with TAA, afaik.
I was wondering the same thing, but I rather have slightly soft picture than shimmer all over the place... But yeah, the ideal situation would be only geometry gets smooth and textures way less...
