Inspired by the glamour and elegance of the lavish 1920s, Nokia introduces a new fashion collection of three mobile phones, launched today at the Totally Fashion event in Shanghai. Pushing the boundaries of traditional mobile phone design, the collection, which features the Nokia 7280, Nokia 7270 and Nokia 7260, blends old world art deco styling with an edgy, modern day twist. Core style influences such as flow and movement, colour, geometry, detailing and graphics were the inspiration and creative energy behind the collection.

"Nokia 7280: Lean, Sublime Lines" is the craziest. Looks like it's from Tron

Nokia 7280 looks hot man i want to see more though like how you dial or if it has a screen it looks cool though.

I believe that it uses touch wheel to dial in numbers as there is no number pad. There are buttons on the there just enough too. So it should be pretty nice and small.

So do the others.

Those look pretty neat, although, I'm having a little difficulty figuring out how those first few pictures convert into functional cell phones.

Why do non-Japan cellphones still look buttugly? How about making a 'DoCoMo Collection' of cellphone models for the rest of the world?

This one was announced on wednesday, Nokia 9300:

What's their market share looking like these days?

Nokia - 29.7%
Motorola 15.8%

Nokia once again came out on top by a healthy margin, although that margin slipped slightly as its marketshare fell from 35.6% to 29.7% of the market from the same time last year. Motorola inched up slightly and maintained its number two position with 15.8% of the market, while Samsung is close behind with 12.1% and shows signs of challenging Motorola for the second place spot. Siemens, Sony Ericsson, and LG rounded up the top six, all very close with 6.9%, 6.6%, and 6.0% of sales, respectively, during quarter two.

Another article blames the drop on: "a lack of new models and a rocky relationship with mobile phone service providers."

Whoo... I like the look of this compared to the 9500. Is this smaller than the 9500?

9300 Size:
Weight: 167 g
Dimensions: 132mm x 51mm x 21mm

9500 Size:
Weight: 222 g
Dimensions: 148 x 57 x 24 mm

So yeah its quite a bit smaller, especially lighter.Have you ever seen Nokia 6310? 9300 is about the same size as that, little bit wider though. I saw a comparison picture somewhere but cant find it at the moment. :\

The 3 new phones are fricking sexy.
I don't know if the first one is practical or not...but the 2nd and 3rd look to be pretty cool and usable designs.
I want the 2nd one.

Wow the 9300 look awesome. I just don't text enough to justify buying it though. I will have to make due with my 6230.

Speaking of which, is there a program that can reduce the size of movies so they fit properly onto your phone screen?

Edit: Will America get any of those phones? We don't seem to get anything cool here phonewise.

Nokia multimedia converter is free and does the job, but better ones are commercial converters like Smartmovie (www.lonelycatgames.com) and Helix.

Well they all are tri-band phones so they work in America if your operator supports 1900 band. But usually Nokia releases also 850-versions...but sadly quite bit later than these "euro"-version.

I know that tri-band phones work in America, in fact I don't know if Nokia has even released my phone in America yet. I got I when I was in England over the summer. I was amazed at how much better their phones are over there and wish we could get more selection over here.

A blackberry for $200? That's got to be like with a 5-year commitment or something ridiculous like that.
