Tiger Woods said today that he was not being fined by the PGA Tour for publicly criticizing a rules official after winning the Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday.

"I've heard from the tour, and there's no fine on that," Woods said during a media session at the 91st PGA Championship at Hazeltine. That "was an erroneous report."

The Associated Press cited an anonymous source Monday saying Woods would be fined for criticizing John Paramor, the European Tour chief referee, who put Woods and Padraig Harrington on the clock. It happened on the tee of the par-5 16th hole at Firestone Country Club after the final twosome of the tournament had fallen 17 minutes behind the group in front of them.
