Tim Duncan has bad taste and is a really nice guy

shantyman

WHO DEY!?
I love video games, as do many in my generation. One of those people happens to be the best basketball player on the planet, Duncan. He plays online as often as he can. He doesn't play basketball video games. He says he's a PlayStation 2 guy, because he can't bring the Xbox on the road. He loved Metal Gear Solid 1, kind of liked MGS 2 and didn't really like MGS 3. After playing an early version of the PlayStation Portable, Duncan put in a bulk order so the entire team could use the wi-fi feature and play against each other on team flights.

Bad Taste: Did not like MGS3

Nice Guy: Bought every Spur a PSP, that's why he is a champion!

man, if the xbox is too big and heavy for TIM DUNCAN then i dunno what to say

:lol

and who likes MGS2, but doesn't like MGS3? I can understand disliking them both ... but that combination is odd.

well him and Tony Parker are a bit "close" at times...

I thought Microsoft designed the original Xbox controller for Shaq and Tim Duncun exclusively. :) I would think the PS2 controller is too small for his hands.

I'm actually kind of fond of the Duke, have larger than average hands. But what was Microsoft thinking with the idea of the black and white buttons, and their placement on that brick of a controller.

Nintendo's handle idea went down in flames. He could easily carry around the Gamecube with that nice handle, not to mention, he'd look much, much cooler.

This story, and those pictures of all the Pistons playing the PSP during practice. Seems like the NBA audience would be the perfect place to pitch the cool new tech on the block.

Sidenote: I got my brother a PSP for his high school graduation yesterday. It was burning me up, I was this[..] close telling him he was gonna have to hand that shit back over.

:lol @Shinobi

Tim is geeky. He also loves D&D and when asked a few years back what would he like his nickname to be, he said Merlin, eventhough he doesn't care much about nicknames.

I remember about a month ago when Sony gave Charles Barkley and the other commentators on TNT's NBA halftime show a PSP -- he was genuinely perplexed by it. "It can play movies?!" "I don't do the computers thing... I'm not into games..." "It can do movies?! Can it play DVDs?!"

And so on...

But hey, this is smart marketing on Sony's end -- give athletes new systems for free and they might just end up in a story that the intended audience will read.

"Nah you can't play!!"

I already knew he had a PSP.

there was a halftime segment during one of the T-Wolves games earlier this season which went behind the scenes of the all-star game with KG. They showed him, Duncan, and T-Mac playing their PSPs together. :lol

Sheed is probably a Lumines man.

C'mon Timmah... just get past Virtuous Mission. Then all will become clear.

Hmm looks like duncan is playing TW, really makes you wonder what someone like sheed would be playing. Whatever he's doing it looks like he's pretty engrossed with it :lol
