This looks like shit.
It's a shame!
EA only helped in quality on Burnout 3 XBOX CUSTOM SOUND TRACK EDITION.
But EA turned this shit into Timesplitters 2 design with Timesplitters 1 graphics engine!

TimeSplitters 2 was great fun in multiplayer. Get 4 players and turn on all bots in Infected mode. It's horrifying! Like running from the highly contagious Rage in 28 Days Later. We all group together and try barricading ourselves in someplace secure but the hordes are relentless. It's a total blast!

LOL, you people need to realize that not all FPS titles are going to be big budget games like Half-Life, Unreal, DOOM, Halo, etc. I've seen videos of a developer playing this title at E3 and the game looks great. It animates well, has a solid framerate, and uses some nice effects.

The singleplayer screens look fine.

If there is one thing you know for sure, it's going to be silky smooth and have near perfect animation.

BAH!!!
Who wants a console FPS with a solid framerate?

This looks worse than Geist.

And some people have the nerve to say that Stranger's Wrath looks worse than this game. Yes Folder, I mean you :D

Oh, the game in motion looks great. Good animation, clean graphics, a lot going on, solid framerate, everything is crisp and clear, and I bet the multiplayer has a crap load of options.

It will be a blast.

I finished this game and do not understand the TimeSplitters hype. This game is as shallow a shooter as you can get, only the humor is mildly amusing and motivating to actually play.

If your into REALLY shallow arcade shooters then this is for you, and if offers a lot of gameplay in the form of bot matches, so you can easily be playing this for a year or so. But the gameplay is about as sophisticated as a rockfarmer. All levels are the same, only thing you do is basically pull the trigger when an enemy pops in front of your gun. Oh, and the guns change in between levels but stay basically the same!

I was glad it was over to be honost...

Anyways, for those who are into that! I'm sure they'll eat it up. I won't grade it higher then 7, that alone for the sheer amount of playability in the tons of botmissions, challenges and modes and sometimes fun singleplayer moments.

(not to mention i posted these here shots and video's last month or so...)

The graphics look actually quite alot better than in Time Splitters 2. Multi is pretty much the same but hey, it's becoming hard for grampa PS2 you know.

I you referring to TS2 or TS3 Future Perfect?

Comparing these to TS1, this is freaking Farcry quality. TS has never been about graphics, but the overall theme of the presentation. Look at Dr. Doak in Goldeneye.

TimeSplitters 3: Future Perfect.

I'm sure tons of people will enjoy, but it's not my piece of cake. :) The humor is cool, but the gameplay is so boring for me...

i understand here that you don't like any FPS :lol
Nah not at all. But this is literally a shooting gallery. You try running into 2 elites in Halo 2, you'll get owned with style! :) In TS3, they just stand there receiving the pain no effort what so ever to seem remotely challenging in their actions. :) It's okay the game is not taking itself too serious, but to me a couple of levels like that, all the same, different theme, get old real quick!

Like I said though, sure some people will like it, especially because of the amount of content in the game to keep them busy,

Wow, look at all the free radical hate.
Naw, they cool. Just I don't like TimeSplitters 3 gameplay.

But I'll pipe down a bit, untill theres someone who's crazy about it to balance it all! :)

Online looks promising (from GamesRadar preview - regarding included mapmaker):

http://gamesradar.msn.co.uk/previews/default.asp?pagetypeid=2&articleid=33641&subsectionid=1594

"It's possible to create singleplayer levels, multiplayer assault maps, deathmatch arenas or challenges to keep you amused. It's possible to set up proximity-triggered sentry guns, even customise their arc of their movement. It's possible to create ambient lighting, flickering corridors or player-controlled switches that can plunge areas of your map into darkness. It's possible to build upwards as well as outwards, creating sniper points for campers, open up sections to the sky, even customise the weather: rain, snow, brilliant sunshine, whatever you decide. It's also possible to use basic game logic to trigger special events, even flash up short messages. You could create the most foul-mouthed level ever devised.

What's even more impressive is that Mapmaker 3 is going online. Free Radical hopes to create a community that's every bit as vibrant as those of Counter-Strike, Quake or Thief, but for a new generation of console gamers. Future Perfect will come with ten maps of varying complexity to give users both insight and inspiration. "The Assault maps are likely to evolve," adds Doak. "A server popularity ranking will tell you which maps are good. You can then download them into Mapmaker and mess around, tweak and improve them.""

It's not that bad looking in motion, though...

The animation is very smooth, the framerate is 60 fps, and it has a nice clean appearance. It's not a stunner, but it isn't half bad. Second Sight is more impressive looking, though...

:) :lol :D

From the same GamesRadar article I liked above:

"With EA on board, there's a renewed optimism at Free Radical, and with a package this broad, versatile and effervescent it's hard to predict anything but an outright sales success."

I would call neither impressive ever, but the facial animation system is still very cool and should be used in more games for expressions. It's very Jak and Daxterish!

Looks awesome! Thanks for the movies.

Have you played Timesplitters and TS2? That's how the gameplay is in single player. It's all about memorization of the levels on hard difficulty and shooting the enemies when they pop out.

From everything I've heard, the multiplayer is as great as the last two with even more options. You don't seem to mention anything about it in your review though, despite it being the entire point of a Timesplitters game.

Play multi with whom? Its not out... :)

I played some botmatches, they have some fun modes. Like I said, A LOT of content! So that's alright. I just plain dont like the gameplay personally. :)

I see. Your "no higher than a 7" is more reasonable then, if you've only played the single player.

I'd compare the gameplay to minesweeper personally. Always challenging you to do better, until you can run through the course in record time with headshots to every enemy. Obviously that kind of thing isn't for everyone.

I like the clean, stylized look to the visuals--it reminds me of airbrushed 2d art. (I liked it in TS2, too, and this is definitely a step up from that.) IMO, 'good-looking' doesn't automatically mean 'dark, gritty ultra-realism' or 'gratuitous bump-mapping slapped onto every available surface'. :p

I lent TS2, but didn't like it that much - even in the multiplayer. But..those screens somehow make me want it. Maybe I'll buy it, if the multiplayer's better than in TS2 (without online).

Exactly, Timesplitters 2 looks awesome, and so does this. I can't wait to play this and see all the new multiplayer options. TS2 = best multiplayer FPS ever.

TS2 Multiplayer was great..and the challenges and Aracde mode were brilliant. I just hope in TS3 they have better stats.. and not just "awards" at the end of a match. Anything more and I'll be extremely happy. My favorite multiplayer FPS since Perfect Dark. Heck, I still play TS2 quite regularily.

I'm hoping the multiplayer is more accessible. The single player is have little hope for :p

Ts2 had alot of potential in the multiplayer department but there were annoying map maker glitches and the game had so many multiplayer settings that it was hard to find a fun one.

now the most overrated series is seen for what it is. shit. always has been.

p.s. these graphics suck.

'Now the most overrated series is seen for what it is'? You make it sound like there was some sudden revelation in this thread that's making people jump up and shout, 'I used to think TS was good, but I have seen the light!' All I see are the usual Timesplitters haters (many of whom are Halo fanboys, oddly enough) piling onto the hatewagon as it rolls into town. :p

P.S.: You lack taste. :)

As mentioned before, the Arcade and Challenge modes of TS2 fucking rocked. The singleplayer game was fairly weak, but pretty fun w/ co-op play. Multiplayer was passable, but not stellar. Still, going for all those golds was damn fun and worthwhile.

Graphic Whores can go take a shit. It's about level and weapon design and FreeRadical has shown they know how to get that done. I'd take this over Doom 3 anyday.
