Time Splitters 3 : video & screens

Graphic Whores can go take a shit. It's about level and weapon design and FreeRadical has shown they know how to get that done. I'd take this over Doom 3 anyday.

No they haven't. Only a couple levels in TS2 were any good, the rest were crap.

For multiplayer, TS3 is giving us a ton of characters (with somewhat different abilities), 40 weapons, clean graphics, a ton of different multiplayer game types, and a very, very good custom map editor designed to be easy to use with a controller.

Maps can be twice as big as they were in TS2.

Custom maps can be exchanged and used online.

Bots?

Monkeys.

Some vehicles - not sure about in multiplayer.

There is every reason to be excited about great online potential. I could care less about the single player game. But, like any game not from Incog or Bungie, I'll wait for a review.

If they improve the bots, I'll be much more hyped for TS3. The TS2 bots sucked ass. 4 star bots were dumb as hell, and the 5 star bots were almost equally dumb and inept, save for the fact that they had near perfect aim.

I have put over 3 days into TS2 (according to my stats, but I don't believe it records restarted matches which I have done for easily another day)

I love playing this with 3 other people, which is what I always do, unless we need to unlock or make new levels.

This is in my top 3 most anticipate games for the year post RE4.

I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be silky smooth and loads of fun. The level editor alone seals the deal as the TS2 one was excellent.

This is a pic from a level built with the map maker!

Chrissakes, I'd take it up the ass over Doom 3 anyday :lol

Honestly anyone hating on the TS series, or especially TS2 is totally missing something essential, dunno what. It's like those people who hate SSBM, I don't understand you! Don't even worry about the graphics because TS3 will deliver gameplay in spades, especially in the multiplayer department.

Anyone dissing the singleplayer, well you probably have valid complaints, but unless you've beaten the game on the hardest difficulty, I don't think it's fair to say the game is a mere shooting gallery. I'm being optimistic here, but I'm sure it's a little more than that (yes, I haven't played TS3 like most of us).

Difficulty is there for a reason - if you find a game too easy, turn it up. If you're still having problems, then I'd say you'd have a valid complaint.

The first level was the best by far. Remake Goldeneye, Free Radical! :(

That level totally screamed quality, it was an excellent first level. However a more *engaging* level to me was NeoTokyo when played with a friend (I wouldn't know how well it plays in singleplayer). I don't think I've ever played a level in any co-op title that emphasized teamwork more than that one, especially since only one player would have the radar and would have to guide the other through the cameras, cop cars, etc..

I'd rather play Call of Duty singleplayer. Or Half-Life/Half-Life 2 singleplayer. Or even UT/UT2K4 with bots. :/

*shrug* I loved GE. Even PD was kinda cool. TS was just missing a little something, though... I enjoyed it, but it wasn't GOTY contender material in the FPS genre. But as I mentioned earlier, co-op was solid.

Those screens are crappy.
I have just spent the weekend playing TSFP and it looks amazing.

TimeSplitters 2 had a wonderful challenge mode.

Easily the most diverse FPS.

How's TS3 in that regards?

Folder you may get away with the screens are crappy argument, but the video isn't and your trying to convince me that Oddworld SW looks awful compared to this? Oh by the way Gamespot gave Oddworld 8.5/10 so thats two 9s and an 8.5.

I can't see them beat the multplayer of TS2....
Single-player wise, the previous version on the other hand was terrible.

Just curious - what console did you play it on, or have you seen both? Any online/multiplayer information?
