Titan submarine for Titanic tourism - Nightmare fuel

Hey in hindsight does anyone know where Luigi was on the day in question? Could've hacked the controls with some classic Luigi Player 2 antics...

I just saw the video of OceanGate CEO's wife hearing the sound. I found it strange she was smiling after hearing it, not sure if that was a nervous smile, people act differently in these sorts of things, but I know I wouldn't be smiling if I knew it was my family down there with other people, but that's just me.

Keep in mind Netflix docs are not meant to be informative, they go for maxium impact for entertatinment. They will try to rile you up because a sad story doesn't usually gets word of mouth.

I was just watching YT videos about the other day.(inspired by Netflix).
One of them was about the audio recording of him sacking his health & safety expert.
And another was about the footage from the tests Oceangate were conducting on the carbon fibre hull.😖

Oceangate was a company run more like a cult.
Lead by a once intelligent man who then suffered from severe self-delusion and cognitive dissonance.
He was the epitome of 'die on this hill'.

More like DEI on this hill amirite.

Watched the film last night - man the sounds of the carbon fibres snapping on some of the earlier dives its like Russian roulette.

The Discovery channel had their own Titan sub documentary a couple of weeks ago which was really good, because their Expedition Unknown show had actually taped an episode on Oceangate years ago, but the host Josh Gates had to call it off. He had to call his boss and say "We can't run this episode, these people are crazy, nothing about this is safe". They showed that taped footage of Gates going on a sub dive where nothing worked and had to be aborted.
