Bringing back the 3rd slot is amazing and a game changer. Time for the RE-45 Autopistol to make it's triumphant return.

Glad the game seems to still be going. Never usually have a problem getting a pug on Xbox.

3 slots... that's like the original right? two weapons and an anti-titan.

Does this mean they might bring back titan shield regen? (i've not given up hope)

Doubtful. They would have to overhaul Monarch's ability to siphon shield and either change the way batteries work along with removing/reworking the pilot ability where you gain a extra battery.

Hmm you're right. I came across a reddit post by a dev earlier today and they thought it was an error, but according to this

I wasn't questioning the method, just its inclusion in the Xbone X version :)

You know Respawn hates TitanGAF :p

I think it is mostly just enabled and we won't typically see higher than 4k resolutions.

It would have helped the Pro reach 1800p in many campaign instances (tutorial) for example. They may end up patching it is.

3rd weapon slot + War Games makes the Titanfall fan in me super happy. I'm so glad Respawn is reacting so well to criticism! Hopefully the High TTK playlist becomes the norm as well. As Frothy lectured about in a recent video, TF2's skill floor certainly was lowered if compared to the first, but in aggressive detriment to the skill ceiling and, consequently, the skill gap - the latter which used to be too small for the game's longevity. The changes they're making will definitely up the skill ceiling a bit more, which is what the game needs right now, really.

Oh shit, just stumbled on this thread...I've been out of the Titanfall 2 game for a while, but this was one of my major complaints! I had it on my Xbox One which I sold, but I may still get it on PC. Are they looking at standard playlists with higher TTK or is it just one game mode with multiple game types?

In matchmaking, there's a high TTK playlist which lets you play any game type with higher TTK (according to Frothy, the norm is generally one more bullet than usual to kill, which is still lower than I'd like, but closer to TF1's behavior). Hopefully it will become the norm, as no one is really playing with the playlist activated in Brazil on Xbox One right now, and I can't stand playing Titanfall with high latency 😩.

It means that even on a 1080p display you'll benefit from the game internally rendering much higher than that. It's nice.

It has already surpassed the original in the fact that people are still playing 8 months after launch.

3 weapon slots was IMO the only thing missing. I wouldn't mind the ability to either attack a Titan or pull battery. But what's in place now works and is more strategic than just "AHHHH SHOOT IT UNTIL ITS DEAD"

The support for this game has been amazing, got back into playing when they released Monarch.

Now just give me a melee focused weapon for pilots that can lunge or deflect bullets Ronin-style and it will be perfect.

When it comes to X1X it means there are times it'll render at higher than 4K and then downsample to whatever resolution the X1X is outputting to. Its is truly glorious on a 4K display. This quote will come back to haunt me, I'm sure, but there were times on Wargames last time I was testing where it was rendering at ~3200p (6K?) internally. The internal render resolution is dictated by the GPU load, so obviously there are no guarantees as to how often it renders at particular resolutions, but essentially we're using 100% GPU all the time.

My 4k display is waiting for this. X1X can't come soon enough. 4k bamboozles are in my future.

If they ever add Titan Brawl again, I'll come back. The only thing I have really enjoyed in TF2 MP.

Was literally heart broken an hour or so ago when I fired the game up and it was gone.

edit, holy shit I missed it in the OP. Awesome.
