if the game was not even talked about on the 20th anniversary of playstation i think is time to pack up and leave, game is not coming, like..never

They just wait for the right time to announce the cancellation...
The right time has always been as soon as possible. The longer they stretch it out, letting fans hold on to hope, the more they will look like a bunch of dicks if they finally confirm that it is dead. The fact that their community awareness and PR has never been stronger and they're still not saying anything is the most positive sign that it is still in development. It makes absolutely no business sense to string people along if the project doesn't exist.

After all, the PS3 is old news - it still gets support but the focus is PS4. They've had every opportunity to confirm the cancellation when the attention shifted away from PS3, but they decided not to.

It lives.

If it has been cancelled, I would wait until Bloodborne is released to announce it. Like say, oh btw Last Guardian is canceled and the team that was working on it is transitioning to the next new From game which will also be PS4 exclusive. Then release a video on PSN that is basically a 30 minute video showing everything they had of TLG as a movie to satiate the fans.

I wouldn't be surprised if some SCE Japan Studio employees who worked on The Last Guardian are coordinating with From Software on Bloodborne as we speak.

Yeah. But I meant that more as a consolation as part of a cancellation announcement, like, "hey we know this really sucks but at least you know From will deliver."

This will ends up being true after all...

Much like Half Life 3 will only be announced when people stop making Gaben fat jokes, TLG will only be announced when people stop anticipating it.

You know I think I've finally given up on this one.

I've held out hope for HL3, Agent, and TLG. The former two I still hold hope for, but it's time to let this one go.

Goodnight, sweet prince.

Sometimes i wonder if keeping the idea alive is more important to Sony. Like factoring into Playstation sales even if it's a small minority.

The following information is from one of those Japanese game blogs.

A guy managed to take a look at a magazine called "Dengeki Playstation 20th Anniversary Edition" which isn't released yet. (its release date is Decemenber 11th)
And the guy said, in it featured a " 107 creator survey", which featured some comments from Mr. Ueda Fumito.

And the comments were, "He is working Torico (aka TLG) right now in a completely new environment because they came to an agreement." He also seemed to have said that he is working on something else as well.

Again, please take this as a grain of salt.
If you want confirmation, the magazine will be released on the 11th JST,
so if this is true, the magazine would have this info in it.

And here's a new thread about it to give this post further credence.

man they keep talking about the "right time" to re-reveal the game and you would think that their 20th anniversary event would be the "right time."

I can't really guess at this anymore, I'll just hold my expectations until it finally happens.

oh man, tlg and ff7 (until last year ff versus 13) were contenders for this thread.

please stop asking for dead games :/ i dont want to be remembered constantly that these games will never see the light of day.

You know what's the right time? Xbox sales in Japan beat the shit out of PS4, Sony need TLG and ReFF7 to save the day.
