I've been pondering this lately (I know. Too much time on my hands).
And i've been wondering about renting games rather then buy them for next gen.

Given that a quick google has revealed you can can have unlimited number of rental swaps for 9.99 quid a month and that next gen games are going to be around 40-50 quid. The maths are clear.

I can have an unlimited games for a year for the price of 2-3 full price games.

I think i'll know what i'll be doing next time round.

Coming from the American perspective's point of view, I find it very cumbersome to rent all your titles upon release coming next-gen, as the average consumer couldn't give TWO FLYING FUCKS how the resulting returned title's condition is, thus causing you, the average consumer, the nice residual warm feeling for when that middle finger comes flying in your face like a giant neon sign blaring FUCKED FUCKED FUCKED FUCKED FUCKED.

Am I clear?

hmm, maybe if you redo this thread comparing all the places to rent, on and off line.

too bad netflix and gamefly are not one in the same. i would love to have an on line data base of every game for many systems as well as be able to swap back and forth to a movie in one return if i prefer instead of having to sign up for two accounts with 2 companies. maybe blockbuster online does this but i am not sure.
