Did E3 sell you on the system at all? How, if at all, did the following influence you?
-Free online service with GameSpy
-Mario Kart online
-Animal Crossing online
-A much improved Metroid Hunters
-Mario and Luigi 2
-New Super Mario Bros.

I'm just wondering. My DS had started to lose it's appeal, but E3 restored my faith in the system. I don't even care about what titles use the touch screen any longer, as long as the games on the system are great.

New Super Mario Brothers looks cool.

Not really sold on the system though.....still seems too expensive for what you get.

I am still not that keen, I hardly touched my GBA but Super Mario Bros might sell me on the console but I hate the art/graphics style. Mario kart also looks good but I am not convinced at this stage.

What I would love is a new Zelda game with a top down perspective but 3D graphics.

Advance Wars 3 ensured I'll eventually buy the system. I'm not terribly excited about anything on the system other than that but I did enjoy seeing the new 2D Mario platformer and Mario Kart along with a few other things. I'm not *that* excited but I am much happier than I was.

If i didn't already have a DS, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and maybe even Nintendogs would've sold me on it. Frankly, i could care less about the consoles at this point.

Honestly, I've always planned to buy the system once the first must-have (for me) game arrived. There's no doubt in my mind that the purchase will eventually be justified, however sparse the release dates. Looking forward to Advance Wars, Castlevania, Kirby.... and now Metroid Dread (traditional, right?) and Mario Bros (we'll see - the video made it look very good). Plus a couple more that don't come to mind.

I'm getting tired of mario games personally, but both Animal Crossing and Castlevania, depending on reviews will definitely get me buying the system or not.

I'm with Bob I'll get one at a price drop. There are now too many games to count that I would buy for this thing but notta one is even out yet.

yes im buying one
Mario and Luigi 2
New Super Mario Bros
Animal Crossing online
Free online service with GameSpy
Mario Kart online

Actually, I was more interested before E3...

I don't care about online. I just don't. Unfortunately, it looks like a large portion of Nintendo's upcoming lineup is simply sequels with some minor additions and then online support. Meh.

Where's all the original stuff? Nintendo goes on and on about providing these hardware innovations to spark new original ideas, but where the fuck are they? All of their big guns are just sequels with some added screen space.

That's not to say the games will be bad, but I want NEW experiences. I've already played Advance Wars. Twice. I spent 30 hours on Mario & Luigi and loved it, but I'm not really sure I need more or even for it to be more complicated with four controllable characters. Mario Kart DS? Eh, it doesn't seem to offer anything new besides online, hell some of the courses are from previous versions.

New Super Mario Bros isn't doing a thing for me. It looks cheap and clunky. I can't stand shitty polygonal graphics for 2D gameplay.

After this summer's lineup, there's nothing from Nintendo that I would rush out and get, except for maybe Trace Memory (I recall impressions being lackluster though) and Metroid Prime Pinball, which looks surprisingly cool (and I'm a sucker for pinball, I realize it's not all that original).

If this mysterious Nintendo Tetris shows up, I might be swayed. Or Super Princess Peach, the real new sidescroller as far as I'm concerned.

But what I really, really want, are some new original concepts. Nintendo keeps talking about getting new experiences out there, but all I see are sequels and Mario tackling more and more established game types.

Yea I'll get one for Mario Kart online...quick question,is wireless the only way to get online or is there a cord option? =\

I was going to buy it, until I saw it, and played it.

Not sold.

If I'm going to shell money out for a system its gona be the PSP
... (or GBA micro, how can you resist the tinyness?!! @_@)

Don't know if it's the first one, but Metroid Prime Hunters is coming august 22 (according to IGN) and is supposed to support wifi (4 players i think)
Nintendo's site says fourth quarter... and I kinda doubt it's being released on the same day as Nintendogs and Advance Wars: Dual Strike.

Then again, IGN's got dates for Animal Crossing and Mario Kart while Nintendo's site says fourth quarter. Of course, those dates are actually in the fourth quarter (Nov 21, Nov 7, respectively).

Sorry, not sold.

As nice a system it might be for many and as much as I usually like Nintendo games, I just dont like the look and feel of the DS.

And I am not going back from PSP graphics to DS, whatever come. I can get my Nintendo fix on the big screen, my portable needs are now take care of by Sony.

I'll just get one because im a castlevania whore.
the first mario and luigi was kind eh but the new one looks really nice and i dig the 2.5d mario

I had a DS and sold it for a PSP.

Outside of Sonic Rush being shown, I still have no interest in re-buying another machine. I'd like to see something done with the second screen that isn't just party-game/map/status related, and SR's wide screen is a nice step in that direction

no

didn't influence me at all, I just don't have the desire anymore to buy a new Nintendo system everytime they release updates to their old games, GC Animal Crossing should've been online to begin with, they could've use that game to sell their modem, but instead they tried to use it to push the e-Reader, and now they want me to buy another system for an online version of it? no thanks

Yeah I'm sold. Mario Kart online + Mario & Luigi 2 is just too much for me to resist :p The new super mario game can't hurt, either.

I've got a DS, got one really cheap, but have yet to buy a single game (though that will be changing in June).

I'm extremely disappointed that we haven't seen a single screenshot from Square Enix's FFIII DS, Secret of Mana DS or FFCC DS.

I'm also disappointed we haven't seen Baten Kaitos DS or Xenosaga DS.

Just a few screens, that's all I ask.

That said, Viewtiful Joe, New Super Mario Bros, Mario & Luigi 2, Trace Memory, Electroplankton, Nintendogs, Meteos and more are all titles I'm looking forward to.

Yes. E3 sold me on the DS.

If only for Sonic Rush.

But also because it seems that Nintendo will be concentrating soley on supporting the DS, while the GBA seems to be getting the scraps.

Ah well. Undoubtebly, Nintendo will release a smaller, more portable version of the DS down the road. Until then, I'll just have to enjoy what we have and the many killer titles coming out in the near future.

I think the DS line-up looks extremely solid. I'll definitely be picking one up for these games alone:

-Mario Kart
-Mario and Luigi
-Klonoa
-New Mario Bros.
-Sonic Rush

I'm kinda interested, but at this point I'm far more looking forward to GBA Micro. Hell, I don't even care about the E3 games. Yoshi and Kirby seem alot more interesting than anything shown.

IMO Nintendo is canabalizing DS sales with Micro, I was going to get one merely to play GBA games better.

I had planed on getting one eventually.. but this showin has finally pushed me over the edge. i'll have it by this fall, i must have mario kart online!

I was more impressed with what they showed for the DS then for the PSP. Sony really didn't focus much on the PSP and there's nothing that interests me enough to buy the handheld for that price. Very disappointed with Sony on that one.
