Today I turned 30

Happy Birthday!

You are right, it's all downhill from here.

Start watching what you eat and exercising cause your metabolism is gonna go to shit. You will start hurting in places you never knew you could hurt.

Only thing left to look forward to now is getting a senior discount when you're 55.

I think my 30s were my favorite years. You are no longer too young, nor old.

But I'll say.... really appreciate these years. It's over once you get 40. LOL

It's not downhill from here. Don't buy into that myth. I'm 50 and things are great. Happiness is a point of view - an opinion, if you will.

Eat well (really well), exercise and focus on what moves you deeply. (and ideally meditate regularly)

Well when I reached 30, I needed a new Liver, so take that as you will. Definitely not uphill...

Actually my 30s have been the best time of my life so far. It's basically like being 20, only I finally have my shit in order for the most part and can do more things I want.

But yeah, you have to be more aware of your diet. I definitely don't eat like I did in my 20s, but that's really it.
 
If you think it's going to be down hill it will be. For me my 30's were better than my 20's by far and my 20's wasn't a shit show either.

Dont forget to chase playing kids off your lawn, and stock up on prune juice.
 
Congrats Represent. Represent. I'm 36 and I'm loving my 30's this is your prime but I would start eating healthier and exercising now your body is getting older and you'll start noticing aches and pains.

Happy Birthday! I remember my 30th and I felt the same. But truth be told I've enjoyed my 30s more than my 20s. Life will always be what you make it. After a little while you will realise that nothing has changed.

Once you're in your mid-40s you will realize that you were still young in your 30's, so just think of it as your 20's part 2. The warranty expires at 40 so you have ten solid years ahead of you still.

You're at your at the peak and going to plateau. You should have your career all sorted out and making more and more money.
 
34 here. Except for the money (if you have your life sorted out) It only goes downhill from there indeed. Don't believe those overly optimistic old guys.

Try to sleep more, eat better and do exercises... or your 40's will be like your 50's...

My brother from another mother, today I'm also turning 30! This is so unlikely that this thread mindfucked me somewhat when I saw it lol, but it is what it is. Take solace on the fact that while getting old sucks, you're literally not alone in it.

Very much yes. That being said, does your city have a website that shows the people that get arrested everyday? Take a look at it, you might feel better after doing so!
