It's not as bad as Wizard, but I'm completely gelling with the cast yet.
Re-watching Drive with a friend recently, it comes to my attention that Ghost lacks stronger villains. Saionji is just... *shrug*. Aran and Javel have the potential to be interesting, but they're not there yet, mostly because they lack clear motivations.
Basically, the item hunt plotline is vaguely dragging everything down.
Ghost is a fun series and it doesn't suffer from the issues Wizard had at this point.
If anything I would say Drive had above-average villains. Ghost will introduce new villains and develop the ones they have going by past history.

I'd argue it's the antithesis of Wizard - the pacing is quite fast with lotsa stuff happening

And I suddenly chuckled at the idea of porn having action scenes, Sakamoto style.
Nowhere near Wizard, thankfully. It has faults but "nothing happening at all" is definitely not what Ghost is so far. Though you may or may not like the plot.

Ghost so far feels like one big toy advert, more than any other series. Takeru changes form with no real tactical reason sometimes, just like he's doing it for the sake of it. Just not enjoying it myself.

If it's the first, maybe it'll be worth watching. Anyway, my friend chose to watch Decade now, instead of Wizard, and then Hibiki after that, since I picked Gaim and Fourze before. Dunno much about both, but at least Decade was entertaining on the crossovers.

If you can believe it, Wizard is both at different times. Occasionally you might even have some competently-written episodes thrown in there (like a bunch of the early episodes and some near the finale focusing on Beast).
But don't be fooled, Wizard is a pretty despair-inducing show.

Got my first two toku figures. Fourze and Meteor, found them for kinda cheap here. They're pretty nice, and I kinda want the Kabuto/Gattack and Black/Shadow Moon from the same series, now. Guess there's no way back.

A local figure shop. We have some Toku things here, but anything that's not Changeman/Flashman/Black/Black RX or a Metal Hero rarely sells. I paid for those figures, together, just bit higer they were asking for Black or Shadow Moon from the same series, alone. About $50. If I had imported, it would be a lot more expensive than that with taxes and everything.

It's been weirdly on & off. I don't know if all 20 episodes are available right now. Last I checked it was just the first eight, but they could have added the rest.
Ghost gets better. First few episodes are slow, but once Specter comes in it gets better.
Las time I saw some (Meteor Storm and... Stronger, maybe?) they were sitting around R$150 each. I'm sure the Meteor Storm one still is in the store, a couple of years later, lol.

Yep! I think that was the case, since they were selling both as a package (R$200 for both, Black and Shadow Moon were sold separately for about R$170-180 each). Got lucky.

Changeman, National Kid, Jaspion, Jiraiya, Jiban, Flashman. Black (and Black RX) is in licensing hell for unknown reasons. Garo was still being licensed apparently, and up for streaming channels and DVD release since they didn't believe traditional TV would air it.
Yeah, can't see any current TV channels airing this sort of stuff nowadays. Can you imagine the craziness of seeing something like Garo or Gaim after a biblical soap opera on Record? Hahah.
That aside, the way Sato words it, seems like the Rider brand is harder to license nowadays? That or the situation around here is convoluted after the whole Focus ordeal.

Skipping ToQ is unsurprising. The season split with "Team Name" and "Super Team Name" seems to work out for Saban, since they can pick and choose which series they work with.

That explains it. The opening feels like Dekaranger, but it plays out like an extended version G3 from Agito or Tomica Hero.
Solid, but not great. The characters are just kind of there, very broad strokes.
I was briefly surprised, forgot it was just ToQ between the two seasons. Name isn't too bad, though.
...I really, really hope they don't go with Super Ninja Steel for the second half, assuming they still do that.

Watched the first episode. Seems like a wannabe Patlabor with quirky generic characters. The transformation sequence reminded me of Cybercops/Winspector, with GaoGaiGar's mirror coating launching afterwards, heh.
Police squad having to deal with red tape while a bus obsessed girl launches officers on jet skis is a good premise for me, will watch a couple more episodes. The preview for the second one showed a Guyver expy, can't hate on that either.

Ninja Steel is an odd title.
I thought it was due to the large number of Shuriken (made of steel) and the swords (not made of steel, but normally they are).
Unless Lynn ends up creating a story where the Rangers are professional ninja thieves. I'd be careful with that, last Ranger that was a professional thief ended up being the real deal

Oh man...the new Super Sentai show's costumes remind me of the old cheapo halloween costumes. The ones that used to just draw a picture of your outfit's character on a plastic shirt and give you a bad rubber mask to wear of the character instead of trying to make the suit look like anything.
