Tom Brady retires from the NFL after 22 seasons

Not jealous. For one, the Patriots were caught cheating multiple times. This is indisputable.

Second of all, I did it to trigger responses like this. And it worked. :messenger_sunglasses:
Nah not indisputable; pats got the shaft for being winners. I’m not triggered because I’m comfortable with the facts; you really should make an argument though because when you really look into the allegations it’s a lot of jealousy

No, they were caught spying multiple times. These are facts.

It's honestly nothing personal against Brady. It's just the Boston way. The Red Sox cheating multiple times. The Patriots cheated multiple times. Can't really fault Brady for getting caught up in a city-wide tradition. It's why larger cities like NY and LA really don't respect Boston and look down on them as the ugly illegitimate stepchild. They always try to cheat their way to the top.

Actually read up on spygate. The filming itself was fine. It was the position they were filming from was were the problem lies.

It was a recent rule change. They were caught the first game of the season It was enforced and was a minor infraction that had no impact on the game that was being played.

Please learn about what you're talking about next time. Please. For all our sakes

It's still against the rules, and there's a lot more smoke about filming walkthroughs spanning years from a variety of sources that have come forward over the years. Can't even fathom the sneaky shit that organization was up to over the years.

Players and coaches have come out over the years talking about how in specific games they knew exactly what the opponent was going to run and it was evident they had stolen their signals.

Their reputation for cheating is so notorious that teams who play them in the Super Bowl run fake walkthroughs now out of fear they'd set up some type of system to tape it. Totally normal stuff for an organization that doesn't cheat.

Man, how whiny can a person get?

I stated facts. The only ones whining are those whining about the facts I've stated.
Did you even read about the violation? Filming has always been allowed. They just didn’t do it from an enclosed location, which their opponent had also done.

I’m a huge Atlanta Falcons fan and as much as I hate what he did during the Super Bowl, I recognize he is the GOAT.

All you morons had to do was run the football as much as possible and kick a field goal to put the game out of reach. Instead you allow Brady to go on a run and complete possibly the greatest comeback ever.

Yes. I also know about the allegations from Walsh about far more serious stuff like recording walkthroughs of other teams for years, as well as other reporting similar, that while never officially confirmed I believe to be true. Where there's smoke there's fire, and there's way too much smoke around it. Nonetheless, they broke the rules, and they have been caught breaking the rules more than any other team. It's always them one way or the other.

Absolutely. That was the offensive coordinator (Kyle Shanahan) being an idiot. Then he did it again as head coach of the 49ers two years ago against the Chiefs.

The first reaction is to say he's a sore loser.

Then i remember I'm not, myself, a loser.

Well played Tom... Try not to deflate the tyres on your Segway before you head to the golf course

He really should win the MVP this year too, but knowing the sports "journalists" I'm sure it will go to Rodgers. Not a Patriots fan, but he truly is on another level when you look at what he did over his career.

Greatest qb of the last two decades. Quite a legacy
Last two decades??? That's cute. You a 49er fan? :messenger_tears_of_joy:

GOAT and no one else is even close.

Anyway, since this is 99.9999% a premature leak before he retires right after his next roster bonus, I can't help but speculate. Could this be a ploy to get Tampa to release him before paying him millions in the next bonus? I hope it is, or if not it gives him motivation to come back one more year. Where it all began. At the side of his Sith Lord Master, er, I mean Belicheck.

I'm not a Patriots or Tampa Bay fan (I'm a Giants fan), and I agree with this. It's hard to argue with Brady's GOAT credentials.

Some of his records (e.g., 7 Super Bowl wins, and even 10 Super Bowl appearances) will be tough to beat by any player, quite possibly in our lifetime, maybe even longer.

It really is a premature leak. I hate modern media for rushing into shit for clicks. Just let the guy himself make the announcement FFS.

Kyle Shanahan has a history of blowing double digit leads in the second half of championship games.
I actually didn't watch the game, but if that's the case then his ass must be on the hot seat. He dropped the ball in the Super Bowl with Atlanta and it's happened a few other times too.

Wasted draft pick if you ask me. Patriots needed safety depth in 2000 and Derrick Vaughn from Texas was still on the board when Brady was drafted. Guy had a lot of upside.

I'm not a football fan, I know enough Brady is the best ever. Not just his ridiculous longevity, stats and wins, but he goes to TB and wins the superbowl in year one and had a solid season in year two.

Unlike lots of athletes who get old and peter out with junk stats lingering around too long, he's got insane stats from beginning to end.

And a class act too, unlike tons of reckless losers in the NFL (out of all major pro leagues in Canada/US, NFL players have got to have the most hardcore criminals than MLB, NBA and NHL combined).

Scumbag journalists couldn’t even let him announce it first.

He’s retiring the GOAT and just had a MVP candidate season with a big comeback in the playoff loss. Great way to go out.

The nfc south is going to be hot garbage next year though.
