Tom Brady's Suspension Appeal News

then, as the poster above you stated, why not hand over paper copies after selecting which ones he wanted to send with his lawyer?

.

Because it wouldn't have mattered. Look at this thread. People are just happy it happened to the Patriots. They don't care that the "evidence" is shit and the science is worse. All they care is that the Patriots are being punished. Noting in this thread would have changed if he has handed over print copies.

It's just like Republicans and Benghazi. They just want to punish someone. Justice isnt a factor.

That's not accurate. One of the requirements is to try as hard as you can to not be accused of being a shit human being.

I'm defending our rights, that's what respecting the legal process is. Do not say I'm defending the guilty.

I think you're mistaking the business proceedings of a private corporation with the laws of a region. No law is requiring that wife beaters be given a punishment in the NFL, but part of the CBA between players and the league gives the league that authority. It's not unfair, it's part of their collective bargaining (e.g., the players negotiated this authority to the league).

This didn't "happen to the Patriots."

They cheated and were caught just as they were before.

Evidence was destroyed just as it was before.

from a while ago but trump going for that NH primary voter!

Trump still salty over the USFL.

We have so many more important issues facing us and the population cries in anguish because a man-child can't play a game for 4 Sundays.

There will be a recorded legal case that generations from now will describe how one man sued because he couldn't throw a piece of leather at large men for one month.

The good news is that he will drag this shit out as long as possible and not miss one game this season.
Brady will appeal this suspension until the Pats virtually lock up a playoff spot.
Look for him to serve it in Weeks 14-17. He's going to face my Bills twice this season and I'm not happy about it.

The best thing about all this is that this whole incident will place Pats fans up there with Yankees, Eagles, Raiders & Cowboys fans as one of the worst fanbases in sports.

Brady isn't allowed at the trophy x banner celebration?

Lol good luck with that, unless the nfl sends their own security you better believe Brady will make it on the field

Pats security guards will let Brady in

So Brady after the NFL requested his Text messages went ahead and destroyed his Phone and told the NFL that was his standard practice even though he gave them his previous phone which hadn't been destroyed?

Does anyone still think he's innocent? Can someone tell me what the papers are saying in bean town about how Brady is being persecuted?

Lol. The salt and cognitive dissonance. Hey don't worry, the case against him is so flimsy he will definitely go to court. Bellicheck and Brady are just dying to have their wholly innocent stuff looked at. So don't worry it will be fine because it's so cut and dry.

Brady's agent Don Yee released a statement. I found this snippet interesting:

Finally, as to the issue of cooperation, we presented the Commissioner with an unprecedented amount of electronic data, all of which is incontrovertible. I do not think that any private citizen would have agreed to provide anyone with the amount of information that Tom was willing to reveal to the Commissioner. Tom was completely transparent. All of the electronic information was ignored; we don’t know why. The extent to which Tom opened up his private life to the Commissioner will become clear in the coming days.

Ignoring the obvious bias in Yee's statement I am curious what this electronic data is.

It has been during this whole saga the first released information never fully represents the entire picture and i suspect we will hear more and more about this.

So let me get this straight...when you are under investigation, you get to pick and choose which electronic data you turn over?

Total transparency would be handing the commish the fucking phone and saying..have at it.

I cannot believe this is actually going to a federal court. The incompetence that both sides have displayed here and the amount they have bungled this whole process is jaw-dropping.

Don Yee and the NFLPA coming out strong.

No as far as Im concerned he might have just dropped his phone in the sink with the disposal on and it got destroyed, anything is possible in this world

I think this is a plausible explanation. I dropped my phone one time and the screen broke, then I got a new phone. I threw the old phone away.

Do you guys think he did it?

I don't think so. There was no evidence on the handlers phone linking him, so I don't see getting Brady's phone as anything but a fishing expedition.

And the whole thing was silly. This was a minor technical rule that even some officials said they didn't track. The NFL never kept records, and never took into account weather. Even some officials admitted to just doing "feel" checks. I think this was a rule no team took seriously and those "feel checks" were probably common. Heck, the NFL couldn't even measure the balls properly when they look at the Patriots balls, and got different PSI numbers.,

According to Brady (via the press release from the NFL) he replaced his phone every 4 months and destroys the old phone.

To me it does bring into question Tom's innocence but he was never going to turn his phone over to the NFL and the court proceeding would be focused on the appeal process and not on Brady's guilt or innocence.

"The extent to which Mr. Brady opened his personal life to the committee will become clear in the following days"

nothing stops this train.

Sports fans aren't known for their intelligence. Just the rabid fanaticism.

If they do that, they better hope there's no evidence of him being there.

If Brady violates the terms of his suspension, the suspension will get increased. If there's evidence that team officials had the opportunity to keep him out and instead ushered him in, then there will be additional penalties for the team as well.

It's kinda a weird thing altogether. I am still waiting for Tom's side of things to be public. Lots of evidence looks damning regarding his honesty, although I think the whole ball pressure thing is pretty minor

o_o Whoa!!

Yea, but he said he does it on a regular basis whenever he buys a new phone.

He decided to buy a new phone in the middle of the investigation, where they asked him to turn over his most recent phone.

This is not a coincidence.

At this point I'm just rooting for Brady to burn the NFL to the ground. I hate Roger and 'the shield' more than I hate Brady and the Pats. Watching Roger squirm on the stand and putting the owners under oath would be beautiful.

Low ball pressure wasn't even the most damning thing that got him in trouble.

It was him totally denying it, after those two lockerroom stooges turned over their cell phone texts implicating him, him refusing to give the NFL the phone and then him destroying the phone. Those 3 things are what ultimately led to this situation.

Except he didn't destroy the phone before that one and he actually turned the info on it over to the NFL.

Seems like he has had poor legal advice honestly
