Chaos Theory. It has the best AI and best graphics. There are items I miss from the previous. They always seem to change something with each version. But I love them all.

I have been waiting for SC, sweet. But I have a question, WHY THE HELL DOESNT IT WORK? I put in SC, SC:PT and SC:CT and the 360 keeps telling me it isnt supported. What the hell is this shit? Every other game on the origonal BC list that I have has downloaded the patch and worked.

Im not happy about this.

This breaks widescreen in Halo 2, awesome! It's still a 16:9 image, but it's pillarboxed in 720p/1080i, so it's squished.

I just played through some levels in NGB...AWESOME! Still some minor slowdown but runs 500% better. It's freaking amazing they can emulate an XBOX.

CD burner. Very easy. I don't have Xbox Live, and this is how I downloaded the first update.

Yes, but I shouldent have to do it that was because I also have access to XBox Live.

I thought maybe my connection was down so I tried going on the XBox Live Marketplace, which loaded fine, so I dont know what's going on.

Well let me rephrase, is your XBOX'S connection to the internet down? There have been plenty of times where I can get on a PC, but my Live didn't want to connect.

Did not MS say you only needed the Xbox 360 connected to LIVE so that the emulator could be updated AUTOMATICALLY once the game was inserted (it would check if any updates to the emulator were available that is) ? What about the computer ?

Four of those seven titles are shit...namely GR2 and the Rainbow Six titles with their shitty aiming. GR2 is just flat-out dumbed down and stupid.
 
This list is shaping up nicely. Good to see they are keeping up with thhe BC updates. Makes my future purchase of a 360 a lot more pallatable.


Now if I can just find one come January.....

I can't download the Splinter Cell updates, I also get the "not supported message". Maybe MS hates Canadians? :(
 
Silly stupid idea for those not getting the patches:
If you have a game that was on the BC list before (Kotor, Halo 2, NGB), try popping it in and see if the system says there's an update. Doubt it will work, but who knows.
 
You know I'm happy to hear this and all, but why doesn't MS and/or 3rd partie pubs just keep us abreast of what they're doing. I know they don't want to be accountable, but they could of at least said: yeah, we plan on adding more BC titles soon.

Or did they?

That was kinda my interpretation of the "The folks at Xbox are working hard to add more of your favorite games to this list, so check back often for the latest updates" which appears at the top of the backward compatibility page.
 
Live is so advanced right now, they should have a pop-up, or a ticker telling you games have been added to the BC list. I don't want to check the official site all the time just to see if the game I want is added.

It would just be easier to tell me what has been added when I sign on to Live. At the very least, make it an option.

I'm betting that due to problems (maybe the Halo2 pillarboxing, maybe something worse) they have pulled the latest update and gone back to the previous.

It's probably the Chaos Theory Curse.

Yah some things that we take for granted are not implemented. I have also heard that you cant do multitasking in the dashboard. So I cant listen to a music while I dl a movie or a demo of a game? Or dl a game while I play a game on LiVE arcade? WEAK

You can listen to music while downloading, but you can't control the playback. Start the music, and then download whatever you want.
XBLA games are like every other Xbox 360 games, they are not running inside the dashboard or something like that.
 
I have the feeling that you'll be able to leave the download blade in the future, otherwise the XBL notifaction they send you when the DL finishes is pretty worthless

Did you get the patch? I wonder if they took away the patch, due to some apparent problems with Halo 2 widescreen mode.

I haven't tested that area, only the areas of chapters 1 and 2 and they were very smooth.

There was a problem w/ Halo 2 running in wide screen mode, so the update was pulled down. The team worked through the night to fix it, and will have the new update available later today (Friday.)
