Tom Clancy Games Now Run On XBOX360 (Patch Recalled, Re-released)

I can confirm the original Splinter Cell works.

I noticed a slight stutter, it lasts just a second, and happens when I use a zipline (which is not a problem since you are not doing anything while on the zipline anyway). I got to level 2 and have had no problems aside from that short stutter every now and then. I'm not sure if it's because my disk is scratched or if it's the emulation. But overall, works damn good.

I've been playing the original Splinter Cell too, and so far it does run well. I've played through the training, and the first level. So far the only problems have been some choppiness at times in certain spots, and what seems like every 5-15 seconds a hiccup/pause in the framerate which I think has to do with loading stuff (gets annoying if you're picky about stuff like that), it's similar to one of the problems KOTOR has on the 360. Definantly an emulation glitch.

Hopefully overtime those get fixed up.

No secrecy as far as I can tell, just nobody wants to say something and then have me (or the board) go "where was JSRF/Panzer Dragoon Orta/Shadowrun/OutRun/Riddick/Warriors/etc. in the last update??" I wouldn't like the feeling of seeing that you know? The team is still sticking to their goal, they're trying to make all the titles work.

Mmmmm...Shadowrun...mmmm....goood....more...more...talk more....

This patch blows for me. Ninja Gaiden Black doe NOT run any better and SC:CT keeps locking up at the loading screen when going into level 1 (lighthouse). Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot?

After downloading the in-game Live update, Chaos Theory has locked up on me three times. Twice at the main load screen, and once when loading the first single-player level. A cold start of the 360 was required.

I did the same and it still locks up on me. And NGB still has massive slowdown. Arne, what's going on?

Yeah, I'm on stage 4 in NG Black and I'm still getting some pretty bad slowdown at times. Not as much as before but enough to be noticable.

This game is a dream to play with the 360 pad though. Controls so much nicer.

That's weird, SC:CT worked fine for me, but you're not the only one (obviously). I don't have NGB to test but I've heard reports that has also been playing better than the Nov 2005 update.

I know that the team knows about the emulation issues with NGB and that they're actively working on reproducing them all in the testing area to figure them out and get them fixed. I can assume that other games that have issues (like SC:CT) will get looked at as well in the same way.

Did you install the in-game Live update? Maybe that's the catalyst for the problem.

I just popped the game in, got the prompt for the update, and went on from there. Not one problem so far. I'm impressed with how good it looks, actually.

I finally got Chaos Theory to load. I deleted any profiles for CT that were made during the atempts, shut down te 360, and then restarted. The first level loaded and looked great. Phew.

NGB still has a lot of slowdown. It is better than it was at launch, but no where close to where it was on the original XBOX. I have faith in the BC team.

Thanks Arne for responding.

I'm talking about the in-game update that it forces the first time you choose the LIVE menu in CT.

I did the first time and I did have the lockups. This time I did nothing with the in-game Live update and all is well. Hrmmmm.
