They're honestly not that great live, though that matters little if you're a huge fan and go with friends

Well he sounds awful live, glad for the Alk3 dude that's filling in for a few shows.

This is just a douche move, i wonder if he'll comeback when his budget runs low.

It doesn't change the fact that a replacement drummer would likely suck or they'd have to aim high. Plus Travis is extremely popular.

Oh, for sure. I've seen enough YouTube videos to know that. But me and a couple buddies from college are huge fans and would enjoy ourselves. Seeing them in the late 90s would have been fun, though.

The best concert I ever went to was a Blink-182/No Doubt show in San Diego in the summer of 2004. Such a great atmosphere, two SoCal bands in their natural environment, and the whole thing was just a blast. Would love to be able to go to a show like that again.

Honestly, I love Angels and Airwaves... so i am fine with this.

I also like Blink 182, but after looking forward to Neighborhoods and being very dissatisfied with it I am perfectly fine.

My main issue with Neghiborhoods is that the lyrics didnt remind me of the old Blink albums. I also only listened to it like 2 times so if anyone disagrees with that statement please suggest songs so i can re-listen to them.

Either way though, I enjoy everything about AVA.

This band still existed to this point? Dear God, why? They haven't produced anything of quality in like 17 years? And even then .. it's Blink 182. The only real talent in this band is in the drums. Tom's voice sounds horrible, and Mark's is even worse.


Do people really still listen to this band?

Edit; Just heard newest album. really, really bad. Other bands from this era "Grew up" so to speak, this stuff is just uncomfortably bad.

Not even close to true, Mark has the greatest harmonies.

17 years? Their best record came out in 2003. Neighborhoods wasn't very good, I'll give you that.

But I guess I just haven't grown up yet.

I feel like Bowling for Soup is the true heir to Blink 182 nowadays. They've managed to stay relevant and successful with that So Cal pop punk style.

I saw them live a few years back .. 2009 I think? It was a good show, until Tom Delonge made literally 100 dead baby jokes. He just thinks he's the funniest person alive, and he really isn't. Telling the same stupid ass jokes over and over again when the crowd just wants to see you perform some fucking music left a really bad taste in my mouth. They didn't even play some of their best songs because Tom thought he was the funniest shit ever .. no one was laughing.

I'm honestly glad he left the band, maybe now they'll put out something of quality with someone who isn't a complete dumbass.

At least the Aquabats made up for it, otherwise that show would have been a waste of time.

They are better off without him. Tom hasn't been good since Boxcar racer or whatever. Mark and Travis will be fine without him.

Huge blink fan here.

Doesn't surprise me. Delonge has been batshit crazy for awhile now. I think the shows with Matt Skiba will be some of the best they have had in 10+ years. I hope Barker and Hoppus keep the ball rolling with blink, maybe just bring in touring guitarists. Fuck Tom.

Aside from Dogs Eating Dogs EP, blink has been a trainwreck since Tom's return. I hope Mark and Travis do something cool, similar to +44.

Yeah super weird. Sounds like either his manager made a leap or he changed his mind. With the other guys getting told that he wanted to focus on other stuff and not do the tour it's going to be a brain tickler to figure out how the manager misunderstood that from his client.

You are right. The atmosphere was great. Then again I've always loved gigs in San Diego. Especially sheds/ampitheaters (anything outdoors). Love Chula Vista too. One of the best gigs I went to was Radiohead In Rainbows Tour in 06.

It was on the ocean front. We had to cross a bridge and were on this island that was in the whaf (surrounded by water). Looked amazing as the city skyline lit up and the ocean water could be heard in between songs. Also the militsry or something was testing out rockets and shot one into the sky during the show. Hah. I just love San Diego.
