These bad boys occur in about 10% of the world population.

I never knew about them until my brothers got them and called them hard balls. then in my late teen years I started getting them as well. oddly we've never had issues with tonsilitus, and wikipedia states they are pretty associated with that. So no idea why we get them.

they are disgusting. some get so big and hard. so difficult to dislodge as well. they reek too. you dont want to be swallowing these things.


I consider them to be pearls of the mouth.

I literally just coughed up 2 of them 5 minutes ago.

I seem to get them once in a while since having my Uvula and soft pallet removed but they never really get hard for me they just stink like hell.

Anyone can get them at any time some people more than others its just bacteria that forms from shit getting trapped in the folds of your mouth and throat. The only thing I know that helps it to rinse and gargle often. The more I remember to do this the less they seem to occur

Used too all the time. Ended up going on antibiotics and they went away. Was told I may need to have tonsils out but haven't had to deal with them in a long time.

I had my tonsils removed as a child so can't say I've ever had the pleasure of getting these. I've heard they absolutely stink and do wonders for your breath though? Kind of intrigued to smell one as not sure that I've ever met anyone that had them.

I got them when I was a smoker (quit 2 years) and never had them since so I chalked it up to that.

The first time you get one, wonder what the fuck it is, squish it between your thumb and finger isn’t a small paste, then take a sniff...

I use a Water Pik to blast them out. Quite disgusting.

I had it so bad I decided to get my tonsils removed in my teens. They were stretching out the tonsil crypts which just made things worse. It started making me sick frequently and my throat was sore most of the time. Good riddance.

i get them a lot, i have a bad gag reflex so cant use like anything to stick back there. I have mastered force swallowing them to push them out. But i know there are still a ton more back in there

Yeh they smell bad. But hardly a surprise considering they lurk in the back of your throat with all sort of bacteria.

Used to get them all the time as a teenager (same with tonsilitis) but havent really had them as an adult.

They mostly came out when I was playing sports as I'd be yelling and the pressure from that would actually kind of squeeze them out. Occasionally see one of the little buggers shoot out
