Too Human screens

Too Human (MGS-Silicon Knights). In Too Human, players are treated to a nonstop barrage of action powered by the seamless integration of melee and ranged firearms combat

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

i'll pass.

Silicon Knights just owned a lot of haters. That is absolutely how we EXPECT next-gen games to look. Well done Mr. Dyack you still have my support.

I've been waiting for this game for years upon years. I'm not that impressed with the screenshots, though. It looks great stylistically, but the snow picture looks mediocre, and the other pics aren't holy shit amazing in any way.

I would LIKE to believe those are all realtime- but somehow im hesitant. I'm not sure if SK as a company, given their history, are capable of those visuals.

Looks fairly good, some screens look better than others, technically it looks par for the course to me. The style is awesome though.

I like SK, despite Twin Snakes being a disappointment. But I refuse to care about Too Human until we get some actual gameplay footage and a solid release date.

i think they are using the unreal 3 engine.

I dont care if this is the shittest game on earth, but for the amount of time and the extentof how much dyack talked this up as the greatest thing ever in nintendo related media, nintendo fans deserve this on a nintendo system.

Well a video can never be realtime but all the models, characters animations, cameras etc.. are from the game. Too Human will only look better from this point on. Screen shots as example are taken directly from the game - we did do some edits on the trailer well because its a trailer .

Looks great visually, but what happened to the original game concept? :\ Le sigh.
Dyack realised he couldnt deliver and instead of cancelling the game just repackaged it to fit the new concept.

Cool!

These screenshots are a must-buy!

I can't believe this was made by the people that made Eternal Darkness? OWTFMG! Didn't know they were capable of this. But can they really deliver a good, deep game, or will this be Eternal Darkness 2?

Parts of ED looked great, some looked ok. The war time church looked great for starters

It does look neat... I am a bit worried at the MS Press release on it, as it makes it sound like some weird shooter/combat title instead of an adventure game.

Actually, I suppose I'm not really worried, as I don't plan to buy a 360 until 2009 at the earliest.

The game does look impressive, though.

The game looks good, but here's 5 reasons why I am not impressed:

1. It's kind of hard to screw up graphics if you're using UE3 (although it still looks a step below UT2007)

2. Art looks ripped off straight from Metroid Prime.

3. It's Silicon Knights, a company well known for overpromising and underdelivering, alright, it's mostly Dyack that does that.

4. Games that have been in development purgatory for as long as Too Human rarely turn out well.

5. The game's description sounds as generic as possible, far from what was originally promised. I haven't read anything about this game that makes me want to play it.

I think that was more of and issue of SK having a fully working N64 version, and then having to move it to Gamecube. That really changed how their artists had to build content. Do you get rid of everything you had and start over? It was a tough position to be in.

I'm not sure they are using UE3 for this. That could be the game they are doing with Sega.

Ironically this might have played really well on the revolution controller :lol

looks nice. hope it plays well

This might be the game that makes me buy an Xbox 360. It all depends on how fleshed out the rpg elements are, if it Deus Ex like, then SOLD!

Weird, Deus Ex was exactly what I was thinking too.... :)

I now know how tough that probably was. They had to remodel everything, re-unwrap and retexture stuff, all the while deciding what to add or what to subtract in consideration with the new GameCube format. Plus so many other considerations I'm actually amazed they managed to complete the game in the time they did. I mean just look at RARE and how long Kameo has been in development limbo

EDIT: I think one news story today mentioned that SK was using UE3 for Too Human

Are we going get this quote in every thread?
only if you keep pressing the quote button.

I am not trolling anything. I liked ED for what it was and respect SK for doing what they thought was best for them while leaving what must have been a financially supportive partnership.

and who the fuck knows if the rev controller is actually practical for shooters, it seems like it could be, but we shall see.

I wasnt exactly convinced by the trailer, the story sounds kinda cool, but i dont have much faith in SK.

I've been waiting for this game for far too long. Ever since the 1st playstation in fact!
It now no longer resembles what it once was, though this is not a bad thing at all. The game and art look amazing. I'm pretty sure that it's setting and gameplay has changed considerably from that of it's early days. I believe it is now set in a technologically superior past rather than future as it was earlier.
I definately can't wait to finally get my hands on it. Once this and Gears of War hit, the 360 is mine.

[edit]oh, i haven't seen the trailer, will have to check that out.

In the trailer they quote Nietzsche, and "Too human" is actually the title of one of his books. I wonder if the game will explore any themes thought out by Nietzsche. Another game that did was Alpha Centauri.

So, how many unreleased games that have been worked on in the last millennium are still expected to be released?
Too Human, Super Mario 128, Duke Nukem Forever - am I missing any?
