THE GAME IS ABOUT KILLING. WHY WOULD YOU THINK SHE WAS DEATH GUN JUST BECAUSE SHE SAID SHE WAS GOING TO KILL EVERYONE IN A PVP TOURNEY?!

How does everybody NOT know who Kirito is? Isn't he monstrously famous online at this point?

Or is it like the real world where there are 93874 Kiritos in this game?

You'd think the person who liberated thousands of people from being trapped in a video game for several years would be world famous with the media and shit.

Those 30 seconds of being an obnoxious dudebro is going to even further sour how awful Kirito's character is going to be the rest of the series. They gave us a LITTLE taste of how things might not have been so awful. And then took it away.

The writer was like "oh I guess we need to have more people who could potentially be deathgun better make more characters look possibly guilty"

Also the author of this garbage needs to read some Agatha Christine, the first trick of wanting the audience to NOT suspect a character is to introduce them BEFORE you introduce the masked villain/murder plot. This generally keeps that character out of the audiences mind when they turn on the "who dun it" mode so they're reintroduced they aren't as likely to be suspected.

Inuyasha and One Piece not dark enough for that video

Tell that to the current arc :lol

To be fair most murder mystery shows and movies fail at this, they're all so eager to start en media rez that they telegraph the killer.

I believe there was a line either in episode 3 of this season or in EEE by the government agent where he says his groups influence helped to keep Kirito's identity under wraps. The government knows who he is and what he did, but the world at large doesn't.
