I have no idea how old this is, but Adult Swim's video page I guess is advertising a CNN show 'The Eighties', and thus displays links to various shows as black/white newspaper personal ads. This includes Toonami shows, past and present.

(posting in a single list because varying heights doesn't lend itself well to positing in rows)

It's at least two weeks old, I used the site to catch up when I fell asleep during toonami.

edit: oh, re me finding dimension w bland-- fully meaning how so much is happening yet so little of it matters. Half of us are going zzz or "what the hell is this" to the same levels as complete shit shows.

Sometimes I'm tempted to go watch it on Netflix just to see how bad it is. I wonder if I'll ever follow through with that?

I still love the anime thread loving aldnoah when I started complaining about things in episode 3 or so and then by the end everyone had the same complaints and hated the show

Aldnoah.Zero is like a d-tier Gundam show.

It's got all the tropes (idiots, kids piloting ship/mechas against evil people from space, everyone having dumb names and being idiots) but is also dully animated, poorly written, awfully paced, etc. Makes 00 and AGE look brilliant by comparison.

& yup, Ochako Uraraka is played by Luci Christian. So we got the 2 main characters, the rival, & the "main" female confirmed.

Lwai's voice doesn't really fit that character so I'd imagine he'll be trying something else there thankfully, because holy shit was that one of the worst voices to ever come out of a Funimation show

Welp, guess that means it's not coming to Toonami at the moment/decreases its chances of replacing DW. Unless Dimension W was on Broadcast Dub as well?

Yeah Seitz doing a non angry voice would have been the best for All-Might. Can't even begin to imagine All-Might with Sabat's voice. All-Might is the epitome of the Golden Age Superheroes that almost borders on cheesy and that is Seitz's regular voice lol. I mean I guess I have to see how Sabat is doing it. Dunno who Deku's VA is but judging from his previous roles, I think he's got this. Connie Springa better be ready to bring his A-game almost raspy voice for Bakugo. I will not accept failure.

I'm thinking if it's not MHA then it has to be a Viz/Aniplex show. My money is on Tiger & Bunny (as I will continue betting on until it happens) or an Aniplex show we haven't gotten on Toonami yet.

Aniplex is pretty much out of shows that'd fit/work/is dubbed on Toonami, unless you wanna figure out how Fate/Zero or Fate/Stay would work without putting the audience to sleep with Zero's longer episode and TONS OF PLOT PLOT PLOT PLOT PLOT PLOT PLOT talk.

Viz has a ton that would work, not to mention the two obvious contenders they have now having a chance.

With how quick the dub showed up on Netflix I'm pretty sure it won't be on TOONAMI. Same thing happened to Psycho Pass, which is now off of Netflix.

SAO's dub for season one appeared briefly after it ended on TOONAMI for example, so this stuff works both ways.

We'll get one really good season that is mostly standalone, and one season that is a terrible comedy.
