I also think fanservice is dumb and unneeded maybe 80 percent of the time but that could just be me being an asexual prude.

This episode be cray cray. Can't believe Dorsia has a whole village for raising child soldiers. That's fucked up. At least JIOR's country of valvrave pilot trainees aren't forced to murder and stuff. No wonder L-elf and his crew are messed up in the head. Anywho, can't believe Marie is someone important to the plot. She just seemed annoying to me. And also fuck the future snippets for ruining plot stuff. What's wrong with the people writing this show? Showing people the episode's important reveal does not make good television. Sheesh.

The point is a fan service scene in something like fairy tail (where there is a character who's magic power literally erases clothing) does it for gratuitous reasons where a series like Bebop does it with subtly and class (fey dressed up to infiltrate an orchestra, got captured and found herself chained up).

You can't compare the two with some "all fan service is bad" statement. Fan service also doesn't have to be sexual it could be something like bringing all the fan favorites back for some all star super team or a cross over special.

I guess if boobs = FANSERVICE OMG RUINED then you're right, but I and a lot of others don't agree. I am glad that your opinion is so extreme it gives me more hope for Space Dandy after your preview impressions

There's nothing classy or subtle about faye valentine she's about as classy as fujiko mine from lupin the third which is not very classy at all faye is probably based on fujiko both get into similar situations with there pervertive captures.

The reason why cowbebop fanservice isn't that off putting is the quantity of it is still tolerable while fairy tail start off fine in the early arcs which I read now skip to recent chapter WTF the fanserivce is out control, it slowly been increasing through the manga run it's long past the tolerable threshold.

For all know space dandy could be blow my socks off by having a well thought out moving fun stories with substance and the boob bar is never spoken from episode 2 and onwards.

My impression is only of 10mins preview nothing more not even an entire episode, that preview was just a lot things wrong with anime, it should be striving more then just shallow bad fan service and some old weak jokes, we have thousands of stuff like that already we don't need more.

edit: also I have to mention some fanservice is more awful and disgusting then others am looking at you soa.

Choji hasn't been an important character up to this point; i feel his backstory was kind of rushed in to make you feel bad for him specifically for this fight, so i think him dying here is too quick. it wouldn't have much impact, he needs more screentime in the series. i also don't think Neji is totally redeemed yet.
