"Normal suit" is a holdover from the 70s science fiction origins of Gundam; giving space suits and other tech weird names was pretty common back then.

Ya know, even though I agree with most people here that this show is hard to follow & a little on the boring side, I'm still kinda enjoying it. I think I just like the overall Gundam universe & style so to speak. It ends up always feeling like a series I'd enjoy a lot more if I was dedicated enough to put in the time to watch & have knowledge of the history/terms getting thrown around.
