I don't think the OP of Stand Alone Complex never got shorten during it's adult swim run. However I do believe the END credit were sped up.

And yes I do agree, 2nd GIG OP is better than this one.
When I first watched 2nd Gig, the OP & ED did nothing for me but eventually I grew to love them.

Yeah, it's one thing that stuck with me as someone that watched it as a kid occasionally and would get bored and not pay attention. The opening as well.

GITS has always gotten its full OP, in the 13 years or so it's been on Adult Swim. The bigger question will be if the ED gets shortened/cut entirely like it used to.
