Beerus, despite being terrifying in the movie, didn't come off like a straight villain to me either somehow. Here, it's just... I dunno. It's not working as well for me.

Team Fourstar explained it kind of well. He's more of an "obstacle" in the movie, someone just doing his job who only was "evil" when he got mad, but here, he feels more villain-ish, more in line of what we've seen similar to Cell.

Freeza restoration scene and they didn't use Maximum the Hormone. What a waste

For what it's worth, the Battle of Gods recap ends at episode 14, and Resurrection F at episode 27.

So we don't have to wait that long to get to the completely new bits.
