It's a breather arc.

Hunter Exam is High School
Heaven's Arena is college
Yorknew City is job-hunting (maybe alongside college or vocational school?)
Greed Island is having a job and playing video games while going through college/University and graduating at the end with some newly-acquired degrees

I really can't see anyone caring enough to go forward with that.
the 2011 series covers everything the 1999 one does and more. the only people who are going to care about the 1999 series are mostly the people who saw that first and that isn't a market worth going after with a redub. your best hope would be a cheap rerelease with the already released dub.

I think the Viz panel is done? Not a whole lot of stuff. They promoted the Jojo BD & Toonami, some manga announcements, & that's it.

not that surprising. Viz really doesn't do to much aside from the shonen jump manga, and shonen jump related tv series.

i think it's better than the arcs that come before it with the obvious exception of Yorknew

Well I mean, Sailor moon and DBZ got their old seasons redubbed so it could happen.

Yeah the chances are lower but HunterxHunter does have a big following too with the Toonami run increasing that. it could happen someday, just if Viz sees enough of a demand of it.

Todd Haberkorn is Death the Kid from Soul Eater.

Tara Sands was Mokuba in Yu-Gi-Oh & Anna in Shaman King.

Beau Billingslea was Jet in Cowboy Bebop.

Dorothy Fahn was Meryl in Trigun & Naru in Love Hina

Beau Billingslea is Jet from Bebop, Todd Haberkorn is Death the Kid, Tara is Kombu Infinity from One Punch Man...which means nothing to me since I've never seen it. She better do a good job since I love Biscuit Krueger. Melody is Nina Purpleton or Kamiya Kaoru or Meryl Stryfe.

maybe....the only time he did kaioken as a super saiyan was the filler otherworld tournament

Funimation's SDCC panel should be starting soon, I'll keep an eye on anything noteworthy again, mainly any show that sounds like it'd be a decent fit for Toonami in the future.

I don't know why the Funimation panel never happened. Couldn't find any trace of it happening via Twitter or Google.

That live action One Piece might explain why One Piece was cancelled on Toonami so suddenly. The timing works out assuming Toei was planning to market the series to American producers late last year.

Except that's not the case. Toei just jacked up the price and it wasn't worth it for the ratings the show got.

DBZ didn't get their old seasons redubbed as far as I know.

DBz kai had a new dub but that was a new version of the series in general.

as for sailor moon it did get a new dub, but the original dub was horribly censored and thus a new dub would attract new fans as it was basically a new show.

a new dub of HxH wouldn't really attract anyone.

also both DBZ and sailor moon are far more popular in the US than HxH.

granted sailor moon and HxH are likely close at this point, but I still always see a shit ton of sailor moon merch when ever I go to a con.
