Why not just kill the Zillo beast, then carve the shit out of it into armor for the Jedi and/or a few select clones then instant win the war? Or make battleship and a few tanks out of it? You can also study it's shell when it's dead, why keep it alive other then for it to obviously break free and rampage around a crowded city
