I don't know why, but something about the Genyu Force just doesn't click with me. Which is strange, because I think if I were to watch an episode as a kid with these guys (especially Recoom), I might've given the series more of a chance since I was more into action shows with an emphasis on comedy.

The Ginyu force is one of the few parts I liked having extended by the original anime, I feel like kai's more accurate manga pacing doesn't give them as much time to shine. They're still pretty great though

Dub is actually pretty good, the coaches voice isnt as good as the Japanase VA though

I basically just watched the karaoke scene to see if the dub was any good. They did a pretty good job with that so the dub must be alright!

Toriyama added the Ginyu Force as he felt the series had gotten too serious.
Original Dragon Ball was very silly. Then around Piccolo Daiomao it got hit with a bit of Cerebus Syndrome.
