Sword Art Online Episode 25: The World Seed
In which everyone trusts the ultimate intentions of the disembodied consciousness of a mass murderer
Okay so this is basically a wrap up episode so i'll keep it short.
Kirito goes to the hospital, but he's ambushed in the parking lot by Creepy Raper Guy who has a knife. He tries to kill Kirito, but Kirito eventually overpowers him and puts the knife to his throat. He thinks back to all the evil things Creepy Raper Guy has done, but decides not to kill him.
Kirito goes up to Asuna's room where they have their first real meeting, and he tells her it's finally over because he beat the final boss just now.
later, the two meet at school and talk over lunch, while we learn a bit of what happened after Kirito beat CRG. People finally decided "yo fuck these virtual MMOs" and the industry crashed. CRG is in jail, Asuna's dad retired. Kirito says that it looks like Akihiko Kayaba uploaded his consciousness to the internet before committing suicide.
There's a big meetup between all the major characters in SAO at Agil's bar, as they congratulate Kirito on beating SAO. Kirito asks Agil what's up with the seed he got from the mass murderer. It's doing well. By doing well, he means it's a program that lets anyone make their own virtual world for free, and it's running on hundreds of servers worldwide. It's bringing the VR MMO industry back singlehandedly.
We next see Leafa in a revived ALO flying towards the moon before reaching the altitude limit and falling. Kirito catches her. She asks Kirito to dance and they do. Then Kirito tells her to look at the moon and what should appear but the big tower from SAO. He has reset his stats to zero and he's gonna try to clear all hundred floors. Will she come with him? She'll go anywhere with him, and tears fall. Uh, did this show forget who the love story was supposed to be between for a sec? Because the last five minutes of the show make it kinda seem like it.
Anyway, everybody else shows up and says they're gonna clear the thing before him. Yui hops on kirito's shoulder and Asuna's new avatar (apparently) shows up and takes Leafa's hand and everybody flies toward the tower.
