He's honestly one of the best antagonist in shonen, period. Can't think of many that has such a great presence throughout the entire show like Hisoka does.

Eh, I don't think antagonist describes Hisoka. He hasn't done anything to antagonize the protagonists. In fact everything has been to their benefit. He's more of a tritagonist friendly rival. Of course he's gonna want a fight in the end.

Eh, I don't think antagonist describes Hisoka. He hasn't done anything to antagonize the protagonists. In fact everything has been to their benefit. He's more of a tritagonist. Of course he's gonna want a fight in the end.

He's definitely antagonistic at times, though it does go beyond that. In the end, Hisoka is the wildcard, and you never really know which side he's truly on. And that makes him a constant threat.
