So the Toonami Show Rundown had a nearly 3 hour episode this week where we were joined by Sketch of the Toonami Faithful Podcast. We talked about the movie, Young Justice season 3, Dragon Ball Super, and we also went into a really long segment about how they shut down those Adult Swim message boards, which sorta spun off into the history of our podcast and I guess general feelings about the Toonami community. (Don't worry, you all got a shout out as a pretty good place to be).

I think it's a pretty good episode if anyone has the time to listen to this monstrous thing.

I'm gonna really miss your arguments with Ben. Those were so much fun to read. I kind of feel I showed up there a bit too late... even though I came in at around the time One Piece came on which was 2013 so maybe it wasn't that late.

Had a Sanji avatar for a long time and then changed it to Charmy Bee smoking a pipe as soon as they gave us the option to use our own pictures... So glad you're on here too though.

I'm gonna really miss your arguments with Ben. Those were so much fun to read. I kind of feel I showed up there a bit too late... even though I came in at around the time One Piece came on which was 2013 so maybe it wasn't that late.

I touch on this a bit in the podcast, but i'm glad they're gone in a way? I liked parts of the community, but on a selfish level I often found myself engaging in these really lengthy arguments against obstinate people as a form of procrastination, so I guess it's good to be rid of that distraction.

I will say I find the atmosphere here a lot more pleasant by a significant margin; I think people here are less prone to that kind of paranoia and entitlement you see pop up in Tumblr questions or on DeMarco's Twitter, and that's a sentiment that slowly got pretty prevalent on those boards. Seeing these constant irrational outbursts over a cartoon block doing things like running marathons a few weeks out of the year just got exhausting.

Completely off-topic, but there was a hilarious jpg from a screenshot of Overlord that had subtitles that said "Dear lord, I have no idea what's going on" or something to that effect juxtaposed with the abnormal main character. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Totally agree on all fronts. I was a bit more insane about utilizing both those boards and this place. Whenever Toonami would come on I would live post on both the Adult Swim Boards and on here at the same time and it was tough to do that and also pay attention to the show I was making jokes about.

Searching for the right gifs to post and the right joke to make for two boards at once was probably not a very smart idea. In hinesight I only really kept going back to the Adult Swim boards because they had a "like" system and I wanted to see how many of those I could get.

But I feel way more comfortable talking about shit on here. These guys are some good people.
