If I'm not mistaken, a few years back, they had complete control of the market.

After the collapse of ADV and Geneon, it got really bad. Now, Viz has stepped up and Sentai has come into being. Sentai doesn't have the best dubs yet, but their stable of shows is getting better. They could grow to be a powerhouse with time.

Pretty much. ADV, 4Kids, Geneon folded. Bandai Entertainment, Central Park Media, Saban, and Streamline all either left the industry, lost licenses, or are de-facto folded.

There are a handfew of minor companies still around, but Viz is the biggeest aside from Funi
