I liked Paranoia Agent until it got about halfway done which was basically to the point where (major spoils!)

the kid who was supposedly Lil' Slugger died in jail...then it turns out he was all made up.

After that, it just got zany.

They could cut the entire show and just rerun the best openings (1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13) for the half hour and it would be infinitely better.

I just felt after that point, it kinda jumped the shark and shit got ridiculous.

I also always assumed the kid was supernatural, I dunno. Just came off as that to me.

Funny, I was thinking of making a thread about that. It's central plotline is confronting reality. The cops backstory mskes me well up evrrytime. Such a great moment and one of my top 5 in anime.
