I didn't say it was bad, but the first impression is...boring. Most shows usually try to do SOMETHING to grab you right off the bat, even if the rest of the episode is kind of dull.

I don't know man,. You get two mini arcs in the first arc that are a hot mess and then that absolute crap ending. Seriously, the ending to part 1 of SAO is one of the worst things put to screen.
