Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Not surprised..."Bring on The Batman!" I'll watch it anyway to see what I think. I think they should just bring back Batman Beyond. Yeah, it wasn't amazing. But it seems like it was better than this.

Dead

well not really...yet
The character designs are utter shit, just looking at the pics is vomit inducing....

And in the grand finale to the episode, Batman gets rid of the laughing gas by taking a balloon filled with the stuff underwater, into the harbor of Gotham City, and puncturing it.

I’ll say it again: he releases the Joker’s laughing gas into Gotham City harbor. Anyone with a shred of logic can see that he’s causing more problems because he just poisoned the harbor! I doubt this will ever be followed up, of course.
ahahahahaha

That and the fact that ... the gas would just be bubbles that'd bubble up to the surface and kill everyone anyways...

Puzzlingly, for instance, the producers have cast Kevin Michael Richardson, a great voice actor with a smooth, deep voice, as the Joker. He could have been good, if he didn't sound as though he's trying to imitate Mark Hamill.
Oh good - I'm not the only one who thought this.

Popping a baloon underwater would just create a bubble that would rise back to the surface and reinfect the city anyway. I think this Batman is a shade stone retarded.

Jokerfish, a good idea despite the the problems with patenting. I dunno, I still need to see the series.

It's like WB can't have the cartoon or the movie be as good as each other. One has to be crappy while the other has to be great.

I clicked on the link and got one look at the poor excuse for the "Joker" and I already know the show is crap. Nevermind the sorta cool action sequence I saw from before.

Or get into the water supply...really smart writing there.

Well, look on the bright side...we get Batman TAS Volume 2 (along with Superman Volume 1) in January.

There's a difference between "unrealistic" and "dumb as hell."

I love Batmans animated shows, but he has tons of dumb as hell moments equal to this one.

while not as bad as toonzone ranted about but it's not great....it's OK not one of the more serious batman cartoon of course it's not supposed to be. The jokers Character design isn't as bad when it's animated, it actually looks pretty cool. Alfred isn't as annoying as the toonzone guy said. The overall feel is like that new TMNT...which for me is a bad thing. Alfred and Bruce feel like a 20 something batman and an younger alfred....like the whole premise behind the show.

Call me crazy but I assume one would have a differnt demeanor being batman for 3 years and being batman for 15+ years. I'm sure Bruce Wayne wasn't born a broken pissed off guy witha deep voice...yeah crazy i know. I know it's a wierd concept that a young millionare playboy to act like...a young millionare playboy but hey either I'm crazy or unlike the toon zone reviews I didn't go in already hating the show. (Alot of the the reviews I read all start off with somethign similar to "I wasn't to thrilled about the show when I first heard about it" to "I hated the show when I first heard about it"

The animation is pretty good, it's not Batman TAS of course it's not supposed to be. I did cringe when he said "I'm THE Batman"

The worst thing by far is the music.....you know in lethal weapon when Riggs would say something sarcastic and que the guitar riff...yeah well repeat that for every 3 lines for the first 15 minuets of the show. What is with action cartoons and generic guitar solo #5? Also getting a new voice actor for joker...okay and the point was? I guess Hamil wanted too much money so they got Hamil lite? The joker sounds like Hamil doing the Joker who go some "Soul".

For some reason I couldn't shake the I've seen this before feeling. This episode was like the tim burton movie...batman first meets the joker, somethgn that makes people joker like....yadda yadda but something else. I think it was Birds of Prey or some other cheesy evening sci-fi hero show where the detective investigating the vigilante is also his friend, and doesn't know the Vigilante-friend connection.

As far as the ending....streching to hate the show much? People will buy that clark kent will run around his entire teen life with no glasses (looking like a young superman) accidently showing some of his powers and running around with Lex Luthor, yet 10 or so years down the line no ones gonna say hey Superman looks like an adult version of the clark kent I hung out with when I was younger....and letting a gas balloon empty in gotham bay is "dumb as hell" or "unrealistic"? I just tossed the Smallville comparison in there are many other expamples of events in cartoons and DC stuff thats far less realistic or even dumber then hell the letting a balloon empty in gotham bay. Granted they could have added a scene where "the" batman figured out that water would dilude it or something but no big loss.

IMO it's better then Teen Titants and the [insert action shot #102][insert otaku reaction shot #454] and better then the worst JLU episode (the hawk and dove one) and not the worst batman cartoon...It's a little better then Batman Beyond. It's what I would expcet from a batman show that had a huge toy line 2 months before and premiered Satruday Morning on KIDS WB about a young batman.

Well shit I thought it was a pretty cool show. As far as the balloon maybe the gas bonded with the H2O and became inert.

The action sequences are GREAT but the writing is on par with Static Shock. It's almost as cheesy as 80s cartoons stuff.

After watching the man-bat episode a while back and now this Joker episode, it just seems to be a retelling of the Batman:TAS but not as well done. You're definitely not missing anything if you don't watch this new Batman show... except for the "extreme" new look of characters.
